1.2 Rated voltage

The rated voltages U0/U/Um of the cables considered in this specification are as
follows:
Table 1. Rated voltage
Rated Highest system Rated Impulse
Voltage voltage Voltage Voltage
U Um U0 Ui
(㎸) (㎸) (㎸) (㎸)
230 245 133 1050
In the voltage designation of cables
U0 is the rated power frequency voltage between conductor and earth or
metallic screen for which the cable is designed;
U is the rated power frequency voltage between conductors for which the
cable is designed;
Um is the maximum value of the “highest system voltage” for which the
equipment mat be used

1.3 Maximum rated conductor temperature

The maximum conductor temperature of cables for nominated conditions is
specified in table 2.

2. Construction and Material

The construction and material shall be satisfied with following detail and otherwise
shall be in accordance with IEC 62067.

2.1 Conductor
The conductor shall be compacted circular enameled, annealed copper wires and
shall comply with the relevant provisions of IEC 60228.
Insulating material of enameled wires shall be High Adhension Polyesterimide &
Polyamideimide. The minimum thickness of enamel base resin is 0.05mm.
The enamel base resin shall comply with the requirements of IEC 60317-13.
The milliken construction shall be used for the conductor with area greater than or
equal to 1000 ㎟. The conductor shall be water sealed by swelling materials
between layers, segments and over the conductor.
The nominal diameter of conductor is specified in the attached table. The
maximum D.C. conductor resistance at 20℃ shall not exceed the value specified
in the attached table.
If necessary, a suitable semi-conducting binder tape(s) may be applied helically
over the conductor.

2.2 Conductor Screen

The conductor screen shall consist of an extruded layer of thermosetting semi-
conducting compound and shall be continuous and cover the whole surface area
of the conductor. The screen shall be firmly bonded to the XLPE insulation.
The minimum thickness of conductor screen is specified in the attached table.

2.3 Insulation
The insulation shall be cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). The insulation material
shall comply with the requirements of IEC 62067. The insulation shall be applied
by extrusion and vulcanized to form a compact homogenous body free of micro
voids and contaminants.
The extruded conductor screen, XLPE insulation and insulation screen shall be
applied by simultaneous extrusion and be drying cured.
The average & minimum thickness of the insulation is specified in the attached
table.
The eccentricity of the insulation thickness at any point shall be less than 10%.
