Accomplishment Report
Journalism is an activity that helps the pupils to be agood writer. It provides many
opportunities for them to learn, to show their abilityin writing news whether in English or in
Filipino. It also adds their wide learningin vocabulary and promotes their social life in the field
of news writing in oursociety.Learning journalism is fun and enjoyable andsometimes boring in
the since that the writers experienced a try and error portionin the field of news writing but still
the writers continue to work for it in preparation for the coming contest in the district level. If
time will permit thewriters, it will be continued until the division, regional, and even in the
nationallevel. This can be happen with the help of the parents and the teachers.Pongol
Elementary School always participate thewriting contest in the district, division level and
sometimes in the regional andnational level.For school year 2012-2013, Fluer Kim Caipang won
thethird place in copy reading and headline writing-Filipino category. Noreen MitzBacatan won
the second place in News Writing-English category. The two of themwere qualified for the
division level but it is sad to say the two of them did notattended the division level due to
mismanagement of the chairman of journalismand the shortage of the monetary fund
