compulsory to all 2 PPISMP TESL’s students in this institute. Before I joined the camp, I
felt that the camp was so bored. On my thought, the camp might be having a lot of
ceremony have to prepare for their performances. They looked tired at that rehearsal
time. I thought how I could carry on the camp. That was my first perception towards the
English Language Camp. “Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation leans on
the doorbell”, the quotation makes me realized that, the opportunity in the camp just
come once in a year or once in our life. So, I had joined the camp with open minded.
A lot of activities were held in the English Language Camp such as ice breaking,
group story telling, school visits, poetry-in-motion, skits and public speaking. All of the
activities were interesting and can shape self confident among the students. The
participants also enjoyed the activities very well. They gave full cooperation during the
camp. I as myself also felt like that. Through the camp, it can develop ourselves to be a
leader and how to communicate fluently in English. Furthermore, the camp was well
organized by lecturers and the seniors of 1 PISMP TESL’s students. They were very
responsible and hardworking to handle this camp especially the seniors because they
were willing to work for juniors as long as the camp was held without any appreciation.

In my opinion, responsibility is the main key to make the camp success as well as they
Besides that, there have some weaknesses in the camp but it can be improve
next time. Actually, on my personal view, I think that three days is not enough for this
camp. Maybe, it can be a week, so that, the participants can feel the more effects of the
camp. At the same time, the participants can prepare themselves better to perform on
the stage. Maybe, they can perform better and can show out their talents during the
performances. Other than that, the activity of school visit also can be continuous to a
day. Not just for two hours. This is because; the participants do not have a lot of time
with the children at the school. The activities that had planned also cannot be done
smoothly because the lack of time. The participants also felt disappointed because they
As future teachers, the participants of the camp should take the opportunity in the

participants how to develop themselves in an organization that includes the way how
handling a group and how to work as a team work. "Liberty without learning is always in
important thing for a teacher to represent themselves in front of their students. Through
the camp, the participants also learned how to present public speaking in the right way.

So, being a leadership is being able to represent them. "Talent develops in tranquility,
My role in the camp was the assistant leader of my group. So, I thought I did very
well for my group. I had organized my group with the leader. We had divided our group
members into sub group to make them easier to work. On my observation, my group
was a sporting group which they can cooperate with each other. They were also can
took part in all activities by their willing. We shared everything because we realized that
sharing is caring. As the assistant leader, I work to help my leader to handle our group.
As conclusion, we should invite the participants from other institutes to take part
in this camp. We can be the coordinator. I believe that we can lead them through our
experiences. We, as the participants are willing to work and organize the camp as well
