MOTIVATION TO CONTINUE STUDYING MASTERS

I graduated from UIN Maliki Malang with a science background, I studied not only
science but about Islam and differences of opinion among previous scholars regarding a law
(Ikhtilaf). With this Islamic educational background, I am motivated to be able to continue to
the Masters level in Islamic Studies because:
1. Friction often occurs in the midst of society due to differences in understanding of Islam
itself. For example: there is a split between followers of Islamic mass organizations such
as followers of NU and Muhammadiyah, of course this really disturbs peace in religious
and state life. Education will be able to continue the tradition of inter-religious harmony
through various moderation strategies.
2. There is still a lack of human resources so that teaching staff at the undergraduate level
in Islamic High Schools are still taught by lecturers who have an undergraduate
educational background as well.
3. There is still a lack of outreach to the public about Islamic Syari’ah, this will certainly
affect the sustainability of the application of Islamic Syari’ah as a privilege mandated by
law
I was in the Al Fattah Basic Education Unit and Al Qur'an Al Hikmah Education.
None other than in daily activities 13 hours are used in the process of educating. The reason
for choosing the Indonesian Student Awakening Program (BIB) is that this assistance means
a lot to us in the private Islamic education environment under the auspices of the Ministry of
Religion, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province. The enthusiasm for academics is my main
motivation to improve the level of mindset of society and our students so that they are able to
become human beings with good morals and without putting aside the interests of other
religious communities.
The BIB program became a bridge for me to be able to take part in international
competitions for the second time after being given the opportunity from the previous
university at the undergraduate level where I was able to explain and introduce my research
results to one of the university leaders who come from Germany. This second opportunity
will affect my future career because innovation and demands will advance as well as
competence and qualifications.
I am armed with skills in dialogue, communication and public speaking, I will be able
to change a number of sectors that are felt to be declining lately. In addition, persistence and
enthusiasm in service and education will be my main focus in the future so that expertise is
owned and legalized, while education with appropriate qualifications will be needed. Another
expertise is being a member of the anti-corruption extension team under the auspices of the
Corruption Eradication Commission so that it becomes a benchmark for every academic not
to use the state budget without a clear purpose. Apart from that, being a member of anti-
corruption extension officers will also have an impact on careers, one example of anti-
corruption extension officers will be able to teach anti-corruption education courses.
The achievements that I have achieved include being the faith and piety coordinator
of Organisation in state Islamic senior high school in Sidoarjo for 2 periods when I was at
school. Another achievement was winning 3rd place in the Arabic language singing
competition at the university. After college, successes and awards were won one after
another, namely becoming the youngest anti-corruption extension member at the age of 24
and becoming the youngest member of the Village Consultative Council in East Java. Besides
that, he become a Sidoarjo representative to take part in the East Java youth exchange
election in 2018 and 2020. The last award received come from the Ministry of Energy and
Resources where I was selected along with 61 participants in the renewable energy and
sustainability event in 2023 which take place in Malang, Java. east. On this occasion,
participants were trained and given the opportunity to study and develop the potential of solar
cells in Indonesia.
Another achievement in the field of education, just in December 2022 I got an
Indonesian non-degree rising student in this program, all participants gained insight into the
knowledge of e-learning methods. Lessons delivered via zoom with participants throughout
Indonesia. We were guided by the organizers of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung.
My experience in the academic field started in 2016 where my first position was as a
teacher and head of the laboratory at Kholid bin Walid of senior Islamic school in Porong.
During 2 years of serving and contributing very rapidly where the participants who originally
studied only at school become enthusiastic to continue learning anywhere besides that
discipline is also the main factor that I can provide. After 1 month, I set foot in a lower
educational institution, namely islamic elementary school.
Coincidentally on my birthday I was accepted at islamic elementary school tension.
For 1 year I served in the administration field to be the most important focus in it with several
good and effective collaborations and collaborations able to change the administration
structure of the Institution into good service. Shortly thereafter, I was asked to become a
leader of an islamic elementary school institution where I held the position of principal for up
to 1.5 years. This institution is a new institute so it requires a lot of innovation and strategy so
that it cannot be used as a comparison in all respects, but at least I always emphasize that the
main focus of this institution is the integration of science and Islam according to the
guidelines to be applied in a good and correct way. Through teaching and education that
prioritizes student character, it will facilitate access to the introduction of this new institution
to the community, even though in the first year it was established it already had 1 full class.
In 2019 my non-academic experience was able to be elected as a regional
representative member of the Village Consultative Body where the tasks carried out were
very complex. This agency is engaged in supervising and monitoring the village budget, so it
requires deep prudence. Connecting with the expertise that I have as a member of the anti-
corruption extension team is very helpful in organizing a clean and healthy village.
Thanks to the BIB Program, I will later choose the profession of being a madrasah
principal with a minimum qualification of Masters. Because of that, I chose the master of
Islamic religious education and or management of Islamic education. This study program is
closely related to the required qualifications. Not only that, this BIB program is in
collaboration with a Malaysian university of technology where later I can study abroad and
be able to take all education in Malaysia and bring it to Indonesia or adopt education there.
This study program is also closely related to the formation of community character.
At the end of the day, I really hope to be able to gain the highest possible knowledge
and pass on these lofty ideals to the next generation through the students or students who
become our mentors. The real contribution after the completion of this program is to return to
being an instructor guided by a person with religious moderation. Applying the knowledge
gained indiscriminately and advancing education and completing education arrangements so
that later students will return to being students who excel, are active and disciplined.
