What's the difference

between singular andd
plural nouns?
Singular nouns
We use singular nouns to refer to ONE thing (person, place,
object, etc.). We use the word a/an before a singular noun:

a phone, a cinema, an apple, a teacher

Rule:
Use "a" + consonant a bank, a restaurant, a computer...
Use "an" + vowel an actor, an orange, an umbrella...
Plural nouns
We use plural nouns to refer to TWO OR MORE things
(people, places, objects, etc.). We can use numbers to
specify the quantity:

phones, two cinemas, four apples, three teachers
