Amritsar Rural Police arrested one accused and seized Rs 20 lacs drug money, one innova car & one 12 Bore
Riffle along with 06 live catridges from his possession

As per directions received from the honourable D.G.P, Punjab, Sh. Gaurav Yadav, Sh. Swapan Sharma, IPS, Senior
Superintendent of Police , Amritsar Rural constituted different teams under the Supervison of Sh. Jugraj Singh,
PPS , S.P (D), Amritsar Rural.
In view of the above directions special operation against drug smugglers and anti
social elements under the command of Sh. Kuldeep Singh, PPS , DSP, Jandiala was initiated.During that operation
S.I Baldev Singh, a team member of Insp. Lovepreet Singh, SHO, PS Mehta has succeded to nab a history sheeter
identified as Mohabatjit Singh S/O Kulwinder singh R/O Nath di khuhi, wanted in many different cases and seized
Rs 20 lacs drug money, a innova car and a weapon from his possession.
Many cases have been already registered against above said Mohabatjit Singh in
different Police Stations and still he wanted in FIR No.42, dated 24-06-22 U/S 21/29-61-85 NDPS Act, 25-54-59
Arms Act, PS Mehta. During primary investigation he admitted that he along with his gang members named
Gurjeet Singh @Gora S/O Dilbagh Singh R/O Nath di and Kuljeet Singh @Shiva S/O Ginder R/O kirpal Colony, 88
feet Rd, Amritsar have been involved in smuggling of Heroin and weapons since last 3-4 years. So, Gurjeet
Singh@Gora S/O Dilbagh Singh and Kuljeet Singh @ Shiva S/O Ginder Singh are also nominated in above case and
drug money worth Rs. 80,000/- has been recovered from the residence of Gurjeet Singh @ Gora.
