I have been thinking about how business works and how it could change a life of a
person. Throughout my journey in making and selling my products, I have learned many things
that benefit me and are useful for me in the future. “Unknown future holds a mystery” which
means tomorrow or further in the future is unpredictable. Nonetheless, I thrived all the
challenges in making the product and selling it and which taught me many things about life.
Our business was improving day by day, our products are always sold out every day after
selling, but sometimes most of the products are sold to those who have already pre-ordered since
there is a member of us that has a lot of connections, and during the selling of time, all of our
product is already sold out. My journey in making the product is a little bit challenging, buying
the ingredients all over the Catbalogan market back and forth is such a hassle and tiring, and
after that, we will make the product if all the ingredients are complete and sufficient enough to
make a hundred or more quantity of our products. Overall, our business was doing and most of
our members cooperate in making the product to make it easier and faster. Moreover, selling the
product is a little challenging, and most of the time we need to use the persuasion technique to
attract the potential customer, we also need to give our best and throw away the personality of
being an introvert for the sake of our business and sell all of our product in that day.
Therefore, the battle of having a little business is such a nice experience to have as a
young adventurer in life, it challenges young ones to become one with society and to gain more
knowledge of how society works and how it moves around in the world because knowing those
things would help them in the future. Just like me and my groupmates, we learned a lot of
business experience during our implementation even though it was a hassle and tiring, it was
worth it.
Sweet Jelatu

The Sweet Jelatu

This is what the sweet jelato looks like after the sequential process of making. It is sweet
and has a topping of mango that correlates with the taste of the jelly and contributes to
maximizing the flavor and the taste of the jelly when it’s inside our mouth. It makes the customer
float and fantasies will occur in their mind with every taste.

Lumpia Pizza

The Lumpia Pizza

The most successful product that we mostly make, our customers loved the product
because of how accurate it tastes as a pizza and how it melts their tongue and it makes them in a
hunger state to eat more and more.

My experience in marketing the product is such a hassle and

challenging at first time since we lack strategy in marketing and we
only go back and forth, also I am unfamiliar with Catbalogan City
which makes it more difficult in marketing but with the help of my
group members, the weight in my shoulder decreases. Moreover,
we chose the lesser price of the ingredients in the Merkado because
their pricing is different in every area. We always consider who has
After marketing the least price in our market supplies of ingredients to our capital.

It was enjoyable and uplifting in the feeling when making

food, it is the first time I make food with my classmates. We
consider the time and place where we are going to make the product
and who will be participating in making the product. But most of the
time I am always present in making the product since I am available
and it is also for the sake of our grades.

Moreover, double time is a must when making a product

because it is the only free time that we have so we start in the During process of
afternoon about 3-4 pm. The product usually is done when it is night making the product
even though we’re doing it fast, it is just the process of making the product takes a lot of time.

At last, the product is finished and it is the very first product

that we made on our first day of implementation. A lot of
processes are done before we made the final product the
process goes through heating, cooling, and cutting before
arriving at its true form. The joy and the sweat weren’t
Final Product
wasted at all, we enjoy making the process even though how
much challenging it was. The laugh and the smile on our faces are visible after tasting the final
product, teamwork produces dreamwork.

Selling the product is challenging and nothing

could be more, since most of us in our group is an
introverted people which makes it challenging for us to
initiate in selling the product. But even though we were
in that situation, we made a comeback by using the
tactics of throwing away all of our feelings of being
shy, unsociable, or anything that will be a hindrance in
selling the product.

We promoted our product through Snowball

which is having a conversation with our friends inside
the school and they Selling to STEM
will also suggeststudents at
the product to
Linnaeus
their other friends during the implementation we
already have a list of customers who are willing to taste the product.

Our strategy was going room to room inside the school

and of course, we always talk to the teacher if it is okay to
make a promotion inside the classroom. The strategy
works and we always go room to room when we are
having an implementation because some of our customers
Selling to STEM Teachers are already pre-ordered before the product is done. The
other day we didn’t have to go outside because even
inside the classroom many of my classmates will buy our product and even before the
implementation time it is already sold out.

When it comes to our experience in selling and promoting the

product, it was good and we went smoothly from the beginning until
the last day of our implementation. We are already prepared for our
oral persuasion of how are we going to persuade our potential
customers to buy and try our product, it was challenging but we did

Selling to Social
Teachers
our best in promoting and selling our product. Those experiences will be carved into my
memories, which I wouldn’t forget because to me they were precious as how I hold the hand of
my loved one.

My overall experience of the implementation is not bad actually, the experience has been
worthwhile to me and I value it to a high degree. One of the problems that we always have is the
lack of manpower in making the product from the start of buying the ingredients and in making
the product in the process, it was just a problem because not everyone in the group participate in
making the product and we don’t have a system that is called as “recycling” which means is the
exchanging of roles in our system.

There are some of my groupmates who sacrifice themselves and do all the work from
making to selling and I’m one of those. Sometimes there are 2-3 members who make the product
and there was a day that only the two of us made the product there was no way of solving this
problem because as a leader, I had many announcements among our groups but it is tiring
sometimes and I only appreciate those who help without telling them.

So far, we didn’t encounter a problem with selling the product, it was a smooth
conversation with our customer. The problem encountered in the business is the insufficient time
of making the product and the only available time is after class, so we always double the time
from buying the ingredients to making the product and its process. Second, the problem with our
product was the size and the amount of content that should be inside a wrapper. We were having
a problem with that so we estimated and had a standard size and amount that should be enough
which is not too low or too much, just the right one.

The skills that we used during our implementation are cooking and strategizing, there are
some among my groupmates who have the skill of being good at cooking. Another skill is
adaptability, adapting to the environment, and the capacity to learn something fast and easily is a
huge help when we’re having difficult times. In addition, the persuasion skill is also a good skill
for an entrepreneur because once you persuade a person it means you’re capable of influencing
people and only a few individuals have that skill.

What I wanted to change in our business is when they are complaining too much and it is
irritating but I always adjust my patience as a leader, I must be the one who is calm down at all
times and the one who should be managing the business. Business is all about how well someone
can manage and organize things to make everything work.

At the end of the implementation, I can say to myself that it was successful since the
capital that we used to begin our business was doubled and we also had the experience of having
a business. Moreover, during the implementation, our skill in organizing things and persuasion
was harnessed and improved in a fast manner, and all of us are happy at the end of the
implementation which is enough for me to say that our business was successful.

I learned how business works and how challenging it is to be an entrepreneur, I learned a

lot and improved my skills which are persuading, organizing, and managing. These skills are
always used in a business, they are common which makes these skills needed when becoming an
entrepreneur.

The persuading skills are the most crucial in selling the product, I harnessed my
persuasion skill often during selling the product and also how I initiate the conversation to
persuade our potential customer. Persuasion is one of the biggest assets that an entrepreneur
should have, not only does it let you think of how to persuade people, but later on you will learn
how to influence them which will lead to your success in the mysterious future.

My organizing skills became better since there are times that pile up during the
implementation, from gathering the ingredients to making a sequential process of the product
harnesses my organizing skills as business goes on. Lastly, in managing the business, as a leader
I don’t take everything for their sake to learn something, I must let them learn things to make the
work easier.

As a senior high school student, those skills can be applied to everything including
managing your time and when and how to start things up. There are too many advantages that we
can gain from these experiences and it include learning how the business in society works, and
the skills that will be harnessed or learned during the implementation. The learning doesn’t limit
only to students, because these experiences are preparatory for having an actual business.
Experience may not be the best teacher, but they are the best way to learn something by
experiencing it on our own.
