Read the following case study and answer the questions that follow.

Unemployment is a big problem in South Africa.


The unemployment rate in South Africa was
23.69% at the end of 2011.

Job creation is an important part of reducing


inequality and poverty by enabling more people
to participate in the economy. However, it is
important that the work created in South Africa
is sustainable.

The problem in South Africa is that there are jobs


available but that businesses in the medical,
engineering and education sectors cannot find
the people with the right skills to employ. The
