INTERVIEW WITH A MANAGER

My father is an area manager at HBL. I asked him if I could take his interview so that I can
understand his job. He gave me appropriate answers for my questions which I have noted down.
The questions and their answers are as follows:

What skills are required for a management job?


Regarding the question he answered gently, Management jobs require a variety of skills,
including.
1. Mentoring
2. Motivating others
3. Patience
4. Relationship management
5. Planning
6. Communication
7. Empathy
8. Effective time management
9. Decision-making
10. Problem-solving

Management jobs require a variety of skills, including mentoring, motivating others, patience,
relationship management, planning, communication, empathy, effective time management,
decision-making, and problem-solving. These skills are crucial for effective leadership and can
help managers inspire, guide, and support their team members to achieve organizational goals.

Managers must be able to prioritize tasks, manage resources effectively, and have a thorough
understanding of the industry in which they work. Finally, a good manager must be able to
maintain composure under pressure and deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy

What are the problems facing in a management job?

Some common problems facing in a management job include balancing workload and
delegation, dealing with difficult employees or clients, maintaining team morale and
productivity, and adapting to changing market conditions or company goals. There are various
problems that a manager is facing:

1. Poor communication
2. Time management
3. Conflict between team members
4. Budget Restraints. Etc.

How to solve problems in a management job?

To solve problems in a management position, it is critical to identify the root cause of the
problem and develop a specific action plan. This could include improving communication
with employees and clients, providing additional training or resources, or modifying
company policies or procedures. It is also critical to maintain a positive and solution-oriented
mindset, as well as to regularly evaluate and adjust management strategies based on feedback
and performance. To solve a problem a manager can take various steps.

 Define the problem.


 Analyze the problem.
 Develop a plan.
 Implement the plan.
 Evaluate the results.
 Solve the problem.
 Learn from the problem so that the same mistake should not occur again.
