Business Resilience professional with years of resilience and quality assurance experience. A reliable 15-plus years’
experience of the identification of key functional areas, their vulnerabilities, and risks faced by the organizations and
supply chains. Highly transferable experience in quality audits, research, policies development & implementation, and
engaging communication verbal and nonverbal.

Summary

Shahid Rashid is currently serving on the project of Novex Pharmaceutical as Business Resilience professional. Earlier
he fulfilled responsibilities as Head of Quality Assurance in the NSIST (Superior University). Previously, held the post of
Director, Quality Assurance (Hamdard University), and Assistant Director of Planning & Development (COMSATS).

Shahid is responsible for describing the system, its vulnerabilities, risks, and single point of failure to strive for a resilient
system in both industrial (manufacturing) and university (service-based organizations) settings. Shahid’s early aspiration
was to be a contributor in the field of pharmaceutical supply chain and his interests in resilience and unknown risk
enabled him to broaden his scope and focus on continuity and resilience in service and manufacturing industries.

He is a graduate of the University of The West Of England (UWE, Bristol) in International Management and was
concerned with Servitization in Pakistani Pharmaceutical Supply Chains. In addition, he also gained insight into
International Business by earning a master’s from the University of Huddersfield, the UK with a special focus on
developing an optimal transportation model for oil transportation in Pakistan. Recently he is in process of finalization
and submission of his Doctorate dissertation which revolves around resilience in supply chains and their performance in
the era of unknown risks.

Apart from his academic career, Shahid was extensively involved in fundraising for cancer support organization (UK),
environmental protection Malaysia, healthcare activities, and free motivational lectures in less privileged regions of
Pakistan. Shahid also supported public organizations by sharing his expertise in engaging and bringing the local
community to the mainstream national system. He was also a member of Lions club international and supported their
public philanthropic activities.
