mode perform the steps on both primary and secondary servers.

1. Uninstallation of 8.3.X (Refer Prerequisites before performing


uninstallation)
2. Install 10.X
3. If the license server installed requires fresh configuration i.e., if the data
folder was deleted on uninstallation of APLS 8.3 and new data folder is
created, follow the below mentioned steps.
a. Stop License Server service.
b. Except <APLS Data Folder Path>\data\conf\dbconfig.xml,
replace all other folders and files from the backed up data folder
to the current data folder location.
c. Start the License Server service.

Cross Host Migration
1. Create a VM or allocate a dedicated server.

2. Install 10.X on the new server.

3. Stop License Server service.


4. Provision the new server with same IP and host name (FQDN).

5. If the license server installed requires fresh configuration i.e., if the data
folder was deleted on uninstallation of APLS 8.3 and new data folder is
created, follow the below mentioned steps.
a. Except <APLS Data Folder Path>\data\conf\dbconfig.xml,
replace all other folders and files from the backed up data folder
to the current data folder location.
6. Start the License Server service.

Data Retention after Migrating


The database will have the same values as 8.3.X
And also:
 The password is not reset
 The old license information (borrowed, and pool ) is the same as 8.3.X along with
new graph for In Use
 The Main Configuration page, User Management Page will have the same entry as
in 8.3.X.
