8 МАРКОВАННЯ
8.1 На з’єднувачі наносять таке марковання:
— номінальну силу струму в амперах;
— номінальну напругу в вольтах;
— символ виду струму;
— найменування, товарний або розпізнавальний знак підприємства-виробника з’єднувачів;
— посилання на тип, який може бути каталожним номером;
— першу цифру, що характеризує ступінь захисту від доступу до небезпечних частин та проник-
нення твердих сторонніх предметів, якщо він вище ніж два, в цьому разі друга цифра, що
характеризує, повинна також бути зазначена;
— друга цифра, що характеризує ступінь захисту від проникнення води, якщо він вище 0, в
цьому
разі перша цифра, що характеризує, повинна також бути зазначена.
Якщо система дає змогу застосовувати вилку певного ступеня захисту ІР разом з розеткою, яка
має інший ступінь, то треба звернути увагу на те, що вислідний ступінь захисту комбінації вилка/
розетка є менший з двох. Це повинно бути зазначено в документах виробника розетки.
Примітка 1. Ступені захисту згідно з ІЕС 60529.
Додатково на розетки з безгвинтовими контактними затискачами можна наносити марковання,
що
позначає:
— довжину ізоляції, яку необхідну видалити перед закріпленням проводу в безгвинтовому кон-
тактному затискачі;
— можливість застосування лише жорсткого проводу, для введення якого розетки повинні мати
відповідне обмеження.
Примітка 2. Додаткове марковання можна наносити на розетку, упаковку або зазначати в
інструкції, що надається до розетки.
Примітка 1. Детальніше щодо символів див. ІЕС 60417-2.
8.3 На основну частину стаціонарних розеток має бути нанесено таке марковання:
— номінальну силу струму, номінальну напругу та символ виду струму;
— найменування, товарний або розпізнавальний знак підприємства-виробника;
— довжину ізоляції, яку необхідну видалити перед закріпленням проводу в безгвинтовому кон-
тактному затискачі, якщо такий є;
Примітка 2. Додаткові посилання на тип може бути нанесено на основну зовнішню або
внутрішню частини корпусу. Ступінь захисту ІР потрібно наносити на зовнішню частину корпусу
так, щоб він був видимий у разі встановлення розетки для нормальної експлуатації.
8.5 Контактні затискачі, призначені виключно для нейтрального проводу, повинні бути марковані
буквою N.
Уземлювальний контактний затискач для приєднання захисного провідника позначають зна-
ком ⏚.
Ці знаки не повинні міститися на гвинтах або будь-яких інших легкознімних деталях.
Примітка 1. «Легкознімні» — це деталі, які може бути знято під час нормального встановлення
розеток або складання вилки.
Примітка 2. Контактні з’єднання в нерозбірних з’єднувачах маркувати не потрібно.
Контактні затискачі для приєднання проводів, які не стосуються основної функції розетки, по-
трібно чітко визначати, якщо їхнє призначення не зрозуміло або не визначено на монтажній
схемі
в з’єднувачах.
Розпізнавання контактних затискачів з’єднувачів досягають таким чином:
— маркованням графічними символами згідно з ІЕС 60417-2 або кольоровою комбінацією
та/або
абетково-цифровою індикацією;
— фізичними розмірами або відносним розташуванням.
На провідники, які приєднують до неонових або індикаторних ламп, вимоги цього підрозділу не
поширюються.
8.6 Монтажні коробки відкритого встановлення, які є складовою частиною розеток зі ступенем
захисту вище ніж ІР20, повинні бути позначені знаком ступеня захисту на зовнішньому боці так,
щоб
його було видно, коли коробка в зібраному та змонтованому як за нормальної експлуатації
стані.
8.7 Для стаціонарних розеток схованого або напівсхованого встановлення необхідно визначити
маркованням або в каталозі чи інструкції виробника, в якому положенні або яким спеціальним
пристроєм (наприклад, монтажною коробкою, монтажною поверхнею, вилкою тощо)
забезпечується заявлений ступінь захисту, вищий ніж ІРХ0.
8.8 Марковання повинно бути стійким та таким, що його легко можна читати.
Відповідність перевіряють огляданням та наведеними нижче випробуваннями.
Марковання треба потерти протягом 15 с шматком тканини, змоченим водою, а потім 15 с
шматком тканини, змоченим розчином бензину.
Примітка 1. Марковання, нанесене відтиском, відливанням, вдавленням або гравіруванням, не
випробовують.
Примітка 2. Рекомендовано, щоб розчин бензину був на основі гексану як розчинник, з
максимальним вмістом ароматичного карбіду 0,1 відсотка об’єму, каурі-бутанолу значенням
приблизно 29, з початковою температурою кипіння — приблизно 65 °C, температурою повного
випаровування — приблизно 69 °C, та густиною — приблизно 0,68 г/см3
.
12.3.8 Безгвинтові контактні затискачі стаціонарних розеток повинні мати таку конструкцію, щоб
унеможливити неправильне уведення проводу, що приводить до зменшення шляхів струму
спливу та/або повітряних проміжків до менших значень, наведених у таблиці 23, або погіршення
функціонування розетки.
Примітка. Вимога забезпечується тим, що на корпусі розетки або в інструкції до неї вказують
довжину ізоляції, яку варто видалити перед уведенням проводу в безгвинтовий контактний
затискач.
13.7.3 Для кришок або закривних пластин, які фіксують незалежно від гвинтів і від’єднання яких
виконують інструментом відповідно до інформації виробника, наведеної в інструкції для
експлуатації або інших документах.
16.2.1 Захист від доступу до небезпечних частин та від проникнення зовнішніх твердих
предметів
З’єднувачі та їхні корпуси повинні забезпечувати відповідний ступінь захисту від доступу до
небезпечних частин та від проникнення зовнішніх твердих предметів.
19 ПЕРЕВИЩЕННЯ ТЕМПЕРАТУРИ
Розетки інших типів потрібно встановлювати відповідно до інструкції виробника або, якщо її
немає, то у положенні, як за нормальної експлуатації, але в найнесприятливіших умовах.

8.1 General
Switches shall be marked with
a) rated current(s)
– in amperes (A) if the switch is tested according to 19.1 only
– in amperes (A) if the switch is tested according to 19.1 and 19.3 only or
– in amperes (AX) if the switch is tested according to 19.1, 19.2 and 19.3 when the rated
currents in amperes (A) and (AX) are equal or
– in amperes (A and AX) if the switch is tested according to 19.1, 19.2 and 19.3 when
the rated currents in amperes (A) and (AX) are not equal;
b) rated voltage(s) in volts;
c) symbol for nature of supply;
d) manufacturer's or responsible vendor's name, trade mark or identification mark;
e) type reference, which may be a catalogue number;
f) symbol for switches of mini-gap construction, if applicable;
g) symbol for switches of micro-gap construction, if applicable;
h) symbol for switches without contact gap (semiconductor switching device), if applicable;
i) first characteristic numeral for the degree of protection against access to hazardous parts
and against harmful effects due to ingress of solid foreign objects, if declared to be higher than 4 in
which case the second characteristic numeral shall also be marked;
j) second characteristic numeral for the degree of protection against harmful effects due to
ingress of water, if declared to be higher than 2 in which case the first characteristic numeral shall
also be marked;
k) length of insulation to be removed before the insertion of the conductor into the screwless-
type terminal;
13.3.4 For covers, cover plates or actuating members whose fixing is not dependent on
screws and whose removal is obtained by using a tool, in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions given in an instruction sheet or catalogue:
by the same tests of 13.3.3 except that the covers, cover plates, actuating members or parts
of them need not come out when applying a force not exceeding 120 N in directions
perpendicular to the mounting/supporting surface.
15.2.2 Protection against access to hazardous parts and against harmful effects due
to ingress of solid foreign objects
15.2.2.1 General
Enclosures of switches shall provide a degree of protection against access to hazardous parts
and against harmful effects due to ingress of solid foreign objects in accordance with the IP
classification of the switch.
Compliance is checked by the appropriate tests of IEC 60529 under the conditions specified
below.
The switches are mounted as in normal use.
Flush-type and semi-flush-type switches are mounted in an appropriate box according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
8 Marking
8.1 General
Add the following new list item after m):
n) length of the conductor to be inserted into the IPT, if applicable.
Add the following new subclause:
8.9 Manufacturer information
The following shall be indicated on the manufacturer's documentation for IPTs:
– the connection and disconnection procedure, if necessary;
– the method of connection according to 7.1.10, if necessary;
– for non-reusable IPTs, information that the product shall only be used in cable trunking
systems and how the product shall be installed in order to have the possibility to replace it
without impairing the safety of the installation;
– an indication that the switch is equipped with non-reusable IPTs, if applicable;
– a clear information that the conductor shall not be stripped before connecting it to the
terminal, unless the manufacturer has designed the product for this purpose.

8 Marking
This clause of part 1 applies except as follows.
8.1 Replacement:
Electronic switches shall be marked with
− rated voltage in volts;
− rated current in amperes or rated load in volt-amperes or watts:
− symbol for nature of supply;
− manufacturer’s or responsible vendor’s name, trade mark or identification mark;
− type reference, which may be a catalogue number;
− symbol for mini-gap construction, if applicable;
− symbol for micro-gap construction, if applicable;
− symbol for semiconductor switching device, if applicable;
− first characteristic numeral for the degree of protection against access to hazardous parts
and against harmful effects due to ingress of solid objects, if declared higher than 2, in
which case the second characteristic numeral shall also be marked;
− second characteristic numeral for the degree of protection against harmful effects due to
ingress of water, if declared higher than 0, in which case the first characteristic numeral
shall also be marked.
NOTE 1 Marking of the pattern number given in 7.1.1 is recommended if the connections are not clear
from an
inspection of the electronic switch; this pattern number may be part of the type reference.
NOTE 2 If a base carries two or more electronic switches with separate operating devices, marking
with the
pattern numbers is recommended, for example 1+6 or 1+1+1.
NOTE 3 For electronic switches suitable for more than one type of rated load, see 8.3.
In addition,
– for electronic RCS, Subclause 8.2 of IEC 60669-2-2 applies;
– for electronic TDS, Subclause 8.2 of IEC 60669-2-3 applies.
Addition:
If an electronic switch is intended for use with a core transformer
metal, it must be indicated in the instruction sheet that only a transformer intended for
use with an electronic switch must be used.
8.4 Addition:
If there are more than two terminals, the load terminal shall be marked with an arrow pointing
away from the terminal or with one of the symbols mentioned in 8.2 and any other terminals
shall be marked corresponding to the installation instructions.
Unless the installation of the electronic switch is made clear by the markings of the terminals, a
wiring diagram shall be provided with each electronic switch.
– for electronic RCS, Subclause 8.4 of IEC 60669-2-2 applies;
– for electronic TDS, Subclause 8.4 of IEC 60669-2-3 applies.
8.6 Addition:
The off-state shall not be marked with an “O” if the circuit on the load side is considered as
live, in accordance with clause 10.
8.6.101 It is recommended that the actual state of the electronic switch intended to control the
brightness of lamps be indicated when used as intended. This can be achieved either
– with marking on the on-/off-state position, or
– with an indicator lamp, or
– by adjusting the lamp dimmer so that at the lowest control state and at rated voltage minus
10 %, the light is still visible.
NOTE A test to verify that the light is still visible is under consideration.
When the indication of the electronic switch state is given only by the lamp, adjustment of the
lamp at the lowest control state is made as specified in the following:
− for incandescent lamps, the adjustment of lamp dimmers shall be made by the
manufacturer. It shall not be possible to reduce the lowest setting without a tool;
− for fluorescent lamps, the adjustment of lamp dimmers shall be made by the manufacturer.
It may, however, be possible for the installer to alter the lowest setting if such an
adjustment is indicated in an installation instruction.
8.8 Addition after the second paragraph:
If an electronic switch containing a viewing window (lens) for a sensing device is intended to be
mounted at a height greater than 1,7 m, this information shall be stated in the instruction sheet.
Addition to Note 2:
− details of directly associated external fuses/current limiting devices, if any.
10.101 If a cover or cover-plate, or a fuse can be removed without the use of a tool, or if the
installation instructions for the user indicate that, for the purpose of maintenance, when
replacing the fuse, covers and cover-plates fastened by means of a tool have to be removed,
the protection against contact with live parts shall be assured even after removal of the cover
or cover-plate.
This requirement does not apply when the electronic switch must be dismounted from its supporting
means for the replacement of the fuse-link.
NOTE The conditions for the replacement of the fuse should be specified in the manufacturer’s
instruction.
17 Temperature rise
This clause of part 1 applies except as follows.
Replacement:
Electronic switches shall be so constructed that the temperature rise in normal use is not
excessive.
The metal and the design of the contacts, if any, shall be such that the operation of the
electronic switch is not adversely affected by oxidation or any other deterioration.
The design and the material of the electronic switch shall be such that the material and the
components in the electronic switch are not adversely affected by the temperature rise in
normal use.
Compliance is checked by the following test, where applicable.
The electronic switches are fitted with the conductors as specified in table 15, the cross-
sectional area being not less than 1,5 mm2; the terminal screws or nuts, if any, are tightened
