1. Find the cube of natural number 12.
2. Without calculating, find the number of digits in the square root of 54756.

9. Write a Pythagorean triplet whose smallest number is 18.

12. One of the angles of a triangle is equal to the sum of the other two angles. If the ratio of
the other two angles is 2 : 7, find all the angles of the triangle.

14. What is the smallest number by which 576 must be divided so that the quotient is a
perfect cube? Also find the new number formed.
Section – C [3 x 4 = 12 marks]
15. A father is 24 years older than his daughter. In 4 years, the father will be thrice as old as
his daughter. Find their present ages.
16. Find the square root of 176.0929 by long division method.
17. Find the smallest number which when multiplied with 4900 will make the product, a perfect cube.
Also find the cube root of the product.
18. Find the greatest three digit number, which is a perfect square.

Section – D [4 x 2 = 8 marks]
19. 335250 soldiers were there in an army. A General arranged them in a field in such a manner
that there are as many soldiers in a row as there are rows. While doing so 9 soldiers are
left out. Find the number of rows.
20. The sum of the digits of a two digit number is 12. If the new number formed by reversing
the digits is less than the original number by 54, find the original number.
