The following Annual Admission Notice has been prepared by the board of Thomond Community College in
respect of the admission of students to the school for the school year 2024/25

Note: Prior to the commencement of section 62 of the Education Act 1998-2018, the school had allocated a
number of places in the 2024/25 First Year Group and the Special Class. The figures below capture this.

Note: The figures set out below in relation to the Special Class are subject to change dependent on whether
current students in the Special Classes retain their place in the school and whether a student(s) transfers into the
school after the publication of this Notice.

All applications to the First Year Group or the Special Class in Thomond Community College will only be accepted
after the 02/10/2023 and the closing date for receipt of applications is 4.00pm on 15/01/2024. Applications
received after this date will be considered and processed as late applications in accordance with the school’s
Admission Policy.
All transfer applications to the Special Class, First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth Year or Sixth Year Group in
Thomond Community College will only be accepted after the 25/04/2024 and the closing date for receipt of
applications is the 10/05/2024. Applications received after this date will be considered and processed as late
applications in accordance with the school’s Admission Policy.
