Reporting Date: 06-09-2023 CT SCAN BRAIN Clinical Info: For CSF rhinorrhea Imaging Technique: Multiple axial sections of brain were acquired with MPR images without contrast. Imaging Interpretation: Mucosal thickening of bilateral ethmoid sinuses seen. Mildly deviated nasal septum is noted with convexity towards left side. Hypertrophy of inferior turbinate is seen. Normal grey & white matter differentiation observed. There is no detectable intra or extra axial mass lesion of soft tissue origin. There is no established acute infarction in known vascular territory. No significant cerebral oedema observed. No subarachnoid or intracerebral hemorrhage observed. No periventricular hypodensities or calcific foci observed. Normal extra cerebral CSF spaces observed. Normal posterior fossa images observed. No brain stem lesion observed. Visible areas of orbits and rest of paranasal sinuses are normal. Visualized bony skeleton appear normal. No fracture or dislocation observed. IMPRESSION:- Bilateral ethmoid sinusitis. Mildly deviated nasal septum with convexity towards left side. For definite CSF rhinorrhea MRI in prone position is suggested.
