Fabrication of plate and pipe arc welding semi-automatic machine

Automation of machine takes place rapidly in all industries to reduce the effort of human. As
part of that, automation of fabrication process is being experimenting with various semi and
full automatic machine to enhance the productivity. The introduction of a semi-automatic arc
welding machine for plate and pipe saves the price of procuring two separate machine as well
as labour force. The machine consists of screw mechanism for movement of the electrode and
work holder. There are two separate attachment for holding the workpiece based on its
geometry like plate or pipe. The workpiece is to be loaded manually and welding operation is
carried out by the help of DC motor run screw mechanism. It also has the facility to make three
type of wave pattern for electrode movement which is accomplished with a micro controller
for sound welded joint.
