Display & LED-test Enter the dispaly & LED-test as described in 2. ‘Three different test patterns for the display and the MODE-LEDs are available (see fig. 1-3). The patterns can be scrolled pressing the NEXT-button! To leave the display & LED-test press the TIME-button, 2.2. Key-test Enter the key-test as described in 2. The display shows "KEY ross the button to be checked and compare the corresponding key-number according to tablet (CD-buttons) resp. table2 (tape: buttons). To check the keys of the remote control compare the key- numbers according to table3 (CD-buttons) resp. tabled (tape- buttons). It all keys of the set have been depressed the display shows KEY OK’, To leave the key-test press the REPEAT-button. Note: If one ore more buttons have not been pressed before leaving the key-test the display shows “KEY **"for 1 second, 2.3. Easy link-test Enter the easy link test as described in 2. The test works as follows: First itis checked if both easylink in and easylink out are high. If an error occutes the display shows "EAS-CON”. Else the output port is set low. Ifthe input port does not follow "EAS-LOW' is displayed. Else the output ports set high. I the input is wrong "EAS-HIGH" is isplayed. If the bus works the right way the display shows "EASY-OK”. In that case the easy link-test will be loft automatically alter 1,5 seconds. 24, CD-test Enter the CD-test as described in 2 The dispaly shows "SERVO xx". xx indicates the software-version, 2.4.1. CD-test, sledge movement ‘The movement of the sledge can be checked pressing the STOP- button. As long as the button is hold depressed the optical pick-up will move outside, the display shows "SLEDGE". After releasing ‘STOP the pick-up wil return to the inner position, the display shows, "SERVO xx’, again ‘To enter the lens movement & focus search test press the NEXT- button, to leave the CD-test press PREVIOUS. 2.4.2. CD-test, lens movement & focus search The display shows "FOCUS". The lens should move upidown continuously. a CD is inserted the typical “Yocus servo noise” will be audible, To enter the tumtable motor test press the NEXT-button, to go back tothe sledge movement test press PREVIOUS. CS 45772 2.4.3. CD-test, turntable motor on (insert disc) ‘Theo display shows ‘MOTOR’. The turntable motor will stat rotating, the focus servo control circuit is activated, servo noise will be audible ‘To enter the tracking test press the NEXT-button, to go back to the lens mavement & focus search test press PREVIOUS, 2.4.4, CD-test, tracking (insert disc) ‘The display shows “RADIAL”. The focus- track- and turntable motor = control circuits are activated. This mode is equal to the normal play-mode, but without any features. ‘To go back to the turntable motor test press the PREVIOUS-button, to leave the CD-test press 4 x PREVIOUS. 2.5. Tape-test Enter this test as described in 2. All LEDs wil ight up for one second. ‘The MODE-LEDs of deck A are used to show the 10 difront test functions of the tape-test program (binary coded). The test functions ‘can be choosen pressing the WIND: resp. REWIND-button Note: The selected test function will not be started before the button DUBBING (normal speed) has been depressed !
