SEEDLINGS

Last school year we had an orientation about seedlings and how to plant
properly. They gave us handouts that contained proper caring, proper planting,
proper preparation of the soil, the kind of seeds, and what are the families of the
plants. They also told us how to dig properly. We experience how to plant seeds.
The planting process is by pair. First, they demonstrate it to us and then they let us
plant, but still, they are guiding us. My partner was Nevin I said to Nevin that he
should be the one to plant because I can't grow a plant.
I enjoyed the activity that Fr. L.A. gave us because this was the first time, I
would be going to do those things. I am not rich but that was the first time that I
experienced how to plant and how to dig the soil properly. In our house I always
see my mother planting but I don't help her because I don't know how. I enjoyed
the food and the drinks that they gave to us. It was so refreshing and also helped us
to gain strength. But when our break is done it is not easy to dig again because we
are full.
However, they ask us to make a reflection if we want to be a seed that many
chemicals. With those many chemicals, the growing process will be fast, but even
if the growing process is fast there are many chemicals inside you. And as you
grow the farmers will be happy with the fast growth, but they don't know that you
are harmful. In priestly vocation, if we don't take ourselves seriously our formation
when we become priests, we will be a wound of the church. Or if we put many
things that contradict our formation soon we will become scar of the church.
The second option is that if we want to be a natural seed the growing process is
slow. And there are many processes you will encounter and many challenges that
will try to stop you from growing. There will be problems, like storms that will
make the plant or the seeds drown. But if you survive those challenges you grow.
You will be a good and healthy plant, you will have a good harvest and the farmer
will have a good background because of you.
And with that, I chose to be a natural grower it may be slow, but the fruits are
natural no harm to people and also it is healthy. And when we apply it to our
priestly vocation. There are many struggles in formation, and those struggles, will
help you to be stronger when facing problems soon. So that when you become a
priest or maybe a good Christian or a faithful believer you will bring positivity and
no harm to people around you. Because you choose to wait until the right time has
come and the farmer can harvest you.
