2. I felt really nervous when I got my driver’s license test. I stood in line for 15
minutes before I finally took my test paper. I didn’t find the test very difficult
because I studied a lot for it. As soon as I held my driver’s license in my hand I
screamed. I was really happy that day.

Write about something that you believe ‘can teach us a lot about life”.

I believe that movies can teach us a lot about life. Independent of the genre, it’s
common for films to bring some teaching about life. First, I would like to focus
on the specific film, Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan. The plot tells the
story of astronauts who will investigate the possibility of establishing life on
other planets since the earth will soon be no longer habitable. Among them is
Cooper, who embarks on the mission without knowing for sure whether he will
see his children again. Here, it’s observed that love, much more than words,
involves sacrifices. Second, despite the focus on the environmental issue, the
film is taken by an incredible sensitivity regarding the decisions that we have to
make throughout our lives. At various times analogies are presented, such as
Murphy's law, the name of Cooper's daughter, where he points out that he didn’t
see the choice of that name as something negative since everything that can
happen will happen, and there’s nothing wrong in that. Third, the message that
the only way for men to get anywhere is to leave something behind, it’s in my
view one of the key points of the film, as it’s Cooper himself who says that
phrase when he gets rid of the rocket and falls inside the vacuum so that it
completes the mission. The way to get where you want is full of sacrifices, and
you need to understand that they are necessary, but also to understand that this
lesson is not only about us, that we need to know the time to leave other
people's lives as well. So, the film brings in all its context actions that refer to
love and how that is what makes us essentially more human and empathic, as it
is the only thing that can transcend time and space.
