Installation

Charging the battery

New lights should be left in the sun for 2-3 days to ensure battery is charged before placing
in service. (Please charge the battery from AC battery charger for 6-8hours at least if the
light is equipped with extra battery charger), Please note, light will re-charge even when
light is OFF mode.

Preferred Installation Location

For best light performance, ensure solar modules are not covered and are in clear view of
the sky with no shadows.
Install the antenna on the top of the plate, the mount under the light base(the bolts is
offered by supplier), and the fragile coupling base on the concrete.

Light Operation

Light is activated by ON/OFF button on the top of plate. Factory setting mode is steady.
1. Place the light where needed, ensure that the unit is bolted to an even, flat surface. The
solar panel could get good sunshine without shadow on it.
2. Push ON/OFF button to ON mode. Light will be turned ON and remote controlled by
AH-HP-RC remote controller and VHF remote controller.

Maintenance

Designed to be maintenance free, the AH-SA-A Serial requires minimal attention, though
the following maintenance and servicing information is provided to help ensure the life of
your ANNHUNG product.

1. Cleaning Solar Panels - occasional cleaning of the solar panels may be required. Using a
cloth and warm soapy water, wipe off any foreign matter before rinsing the panels with fresh
water.

2. Battery Check - inspection of batteries should be performed every one year to ensure
that the charger, battery and ancillary electronics are functioning correctly.

Replacing the battery Don’t throw the unit out!!

The AH-SA-A serial lights are the compact aviation light with a sealed battery compartment.
This provides the user with the ability to change the battery after years of operation.
1. Push ON/OFF button to OFF mode.
2. Unscrew 4 small screws on the top of the battery box to remove the cover..
3. Disconnect the battery leads and remove battery from the box.
4. Discard old battery in a safe manner.
5. Reattach “+”“-”leads to new battery and place back into box.
6. Refit 4 small screws on the top of battery box.
7. Push ON/OFF button to ON mode, light will come.
Care must be taken to observe the polarity of the battery before the leads are
re-connected, and ensure the replacement battery is correctly fitted. Always discard
old batteries in a safe manner.

Long Term Storage Instructions

If the AH-SA-A serial is to be placed in storage for an extended period, being more than 3
months, please follow the below steps.

1. The Battery must be stored in a fully charged condition.

2. Push button at OFF mode.

All batteries will discharge over time and the rate of discharge is dependent on temperature.
If the light is being stored in temperatures greater than 40°C the battery will discharge
faster.
Please check battery every 3 months and recharge if necessary.

Recharging the Battery

Place unit in the sun for 2-3days OR

Place in front of a halogen lamp for 2-3days. (Do not place the halogen light too close to the
solar panel or the panel may be over heated) OR

Charge the battery from extra battery charger.

Check the battery voltage regularly to make sure the unit is charging correctly.

Trouble Shooting

Light will not activate • Ensure ON/OFF button is set to the ON

position.
• Ensure battery lead are properly
connected.
• Ensure battery voltage is above 7V.
• Use the remote controller to turn ON the
light.
