Pranayama Prayer

प्राणस्येदं वशे सर्वं। त्रिदिवेत् यत् प्रतिष्टितम्।


मातेऽव पुत्रान् रक्षस्व। श्रीश्च प्रज्ञास्च विदेहिन इति॥
Prāṇasyedaṁ vaśe sarvaṁ| tridivet yat pratiṣṭitam|
Māte'va putrān rakṣasva| śrīśca prajñāsca videhina iti||

Whatever exists in the three worlds are all under the


influence of Prāṇa. Just like a mother protects her children,
protect us and give us wealth and wisdom.

When prana moves, chitta (the mental force) moves. When Prana is without movement,
chitta is without movement. By this (steadiness of prana) the yogi attains steadiness and
should thus restrain the vayu (air)

Pranayama because it ends the fear of death. Thus (Pranayama) must be practiced
