THE DEVOTION OF THE TWO THOUSAND HAIL MARYS

It was March 1933 and I was studying in the Salesian Seminary of Barcelona,
Spain. At that time. I was only fifteen and a half years old.
One day, close to March 25, 1935, a companion of the Seminary, called Daniel
Ara, told me: “Riu, I have something interesting to let you know: there is a pious belief
assuring ANY GRACE to be asked from our Lady Virgin Mary, to whom he says TWO
THOUSAND HAIL MARYS on March 25, the Feast of the Annunciation of the Angel to
the Virgin Mary”.
That message remained deep in my mind, and when March 25 arrived, I recited
with great devotion the TWO THOUSAND HAIL MARYS asking OUR LADY THREE
GRACES: to become a SALESIAN, PRIEST, and MISSIONARY and then, I awaited
trustfully that Our Lady should fulfill Her promise.
On July 27, 1935. I made the vows as a SALESIAN: the FIRST GRACE was
granted.
On June 15, 1946, I was ordained PRIEST by Bishop Leopoldo Eijo y Garay, in
Madrid, Spain, and the SECOND GRACE was granted.
On August 30, 1952, I landed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and I started my
missionary apostolate in the poorest slum, and the THIRD GRACE has been fulfilled.
After twelve years, I was on voted to become a missionary in the Salesian Missions of
Ecuador, S.A. until today …
During my forty five years as a priest, I have been promoting the devotion of the
TWO THOUSAND HAIL MARYS to Our Lady the Most Pure Mothers of Our Lord, asking
HER any kind of graces in the trust SHE will grant them through Her Powerful
intercession.

THE 2000 HAIL MARY DEVOTION

HAIL MARY, FULL OF GRACE, THE LORD IS WITH THEE; BLESSED ART THOU
AMONGST WOMEN, AND BLESSED IS THE FRUIT OF THEY WOMB, JESUS. HOLY
MARY, MOTHER OF GOD, PRAY FOR US SINNERS, NOW AND AT THE HOUR OF
OUR DEATH. AMEN

Because Mary is “Full of Grace,” each “Hail Mary” we pray opens our soul to precious
graces which enrich our spirit with an increase of her virtues, and lead as into a deeper
union with the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus.
Fr. Martin, S.S.C.C.

When the Hail Mary is said with attention, devotion and modesty, it is a hammer against
the devil, the sanctification of souls, the joy of angels, the melody of the predestined, the
canticle of the New Testament, the delight of Mary and the Glory of the blessed Trinity.
The Hair Mary is a heavy dew which renders the soul fertile, it is a chaste and loving kiss
bestowed on Mary; it is a deep red rose presented to Her, it is a chalice of divine nectar
lifted to Her lips.
St. Louis De Montfort

PRAY, PRAY UNCEASINGLY

Pray for peace in our families

Pray for peace in the world

Our Lady of Fatima

Before the feast of the Immaculate Conception, Blessed Faustina prayed 1000 Hail
Marys’ each day for 9 consecutive days.

Our Fathers on Vigils of feast days of Our Lord, and 1000 Hail Marys on the eve of
feasts of Our Lady.
Louis Kacsmarek

Go united Mary to Him, that She shares everything with Him. Let us entrust ourselves to
Her. For She is our Mother and Her pure hands will know to embellish our offering, to
present it to God.
Fr. Rene Laurentin

Our prayers and sacrifices presented to God with Mary’s hands, take on a special beauty
an enhanced values.
Apostleship of Prayer

When people are in the love, they say so – not once, but thousands of time, over again
and again and again. Repetition is the language of love. The rosary is the language of
love.
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

Pray 2000 Hail mary in preparation for the 2000th celebration of the incarnation of Our
Lord Jesus Christ.
Rev. Msgr. Juan Riu

Pope John Paul II speaks of the present time as a new advent, a new time of preparation
for the coming of Jesus Christ.

2000 HAIL MARY DEVOTION

We pray the devotion on the Feast of the Annunciation (March 25) as it is the day when
Mary’s humble “YES” to God’s invitation to be His Son’s Mother threw open the gates of
Heaven thereby releasing abundant graces and blessings upon all peoples of the eath
through all generations.
Likewise, we pray the devotion on the First Saturday of each month as a gesture of love
and devotion to the Mother of God and Our Heavenly Mother.
On or around December 8, the devotion may be offered in honor of the great Feast of the
Immaculate Conception.
The 2000 Hail Mary Devotion may be prayed alone or in groups anytime, any day at
Church or at home. It is a very powerful intercessory prayer. It is praying 2000 Hail
Marys with Our Blessed Mother Mary to our Lord Jesus Christ. Combine with our faith
and sincerity of heart, there are graces or intentions Our Mother Mary will obtain for us.
(Remember: Lord, hear our prayer. However, our prayers may not always be answered
the way we want prayers answered. PROCLAIM: JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU.)

OPENING PRAYERS

Blessed be the Holy Trinity, One God, now and forever. Amen. Glory be to the Father,
Who created me; Glory be to the Son, Who redeemed me; Glory be to the Holy Spirit,
Who sanctifies me.

We pray and implore the Holy Spirit to come down and bestow upon us His Holy Gifts,
so that we will be inflamed with the power of His love.

And, once again, we gather ourselves together before You, dearest Blessed Mother, to
pray for ALL Your intentions. We know that You bring our humble prayers together with
Yours, before the throne of God and Your Beloved Son, and that, in Your loving hands,
You will dispense of them, for You know best to apply them where they are most
needed.

ACT OF CONTRITION

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended THEE, and I detest all my sins
because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they
offend THEE my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with
the help of THY grace to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

On my knees before the great multitude of heavenly witnesses I offer myself, soul and
body to you, Eternal Spirit of God. I adore the brightness of Your purity the unerring
keenness of Your injustice and the might of your love. You are the Strength and Light of
my soul. In You I live and move and am. I desire never to grieve You by unfaithfulness to
grace and, I pray with all my heart to be kept from the smallest sin against You.
Mercifully guard my every thought and grant that I always watch for Your Light and listen
to Your voice and follow Your gracious inspirations. I cling to You and give myself to you
and ask You by Your compassion to watch over me in my weakness. Holding the pierced
feet of Jesus and looking at His Five Wounds and trusting in His Precious Blood and
adoring His opened Side and stricken Heart, I implore you adorable Spirit, Helper of my
infirmity, so to keep me in Your grace that I may never sin against You Give me grace O
Holy Spirit, Spirit of the Father and the Son to say to You always and everywhere “Speak
Lord for You servant heareth”. Amen.

CONSECRATION OF THE HUMAN RACE TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate
before Your altar. We are Yours and Yours we wish to be, but to be more surely united to
You, behold we freely consecrate ourselves today to Your Most Sacred Heart.

Many indeed have never known You; many, too, despising Your precepts, have rejected
You. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Your Sacred
Heart/

Be King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken You, but also of the
prodigal children who have abandoned You. Grant that they may quickly return to their
Father’s house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger. Be king of those who are
deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the
harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one
Shepherd.

Grant, O Lord, to Your Church, assurance of freedom and immunity from harm, give
peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one
cry: Praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our Salvation, to Him be glory and Honor
forever. Amen.

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO
THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
(for Religious and Laity)

Virgin of Fatima, Mother of Mercy, Queen of Heaven and Earth, Refuge of Sinners, we
who belong to the Marian Movement consecrate ourselves in a very special way to your
Immaculate Heart.

By this Act of Consecration we intend to live, with You and through You, all the
obligations assumed by our baptismal consecration. We further pledge to bring about in
ourselves that interior conversion so urgently demanded by the Gospel, a conversion
that will free us of every attachment to ourselves and easy compromises with the world
so that, like you, we may be available only to do always the will of the Father.

And as we resolve to entrust to You, O Mother most sweet and merciful, our life and
vocations as Christians, that You may dispose of it according to Your designs of
salvation. In His hour of decision that weighs upon the world, we pledge to live it
according to Your desires, especially as it pertains to a renewed spirit of prayer and
penance, the fervent participation in the celebration of the Eucharist and in the works of
the apostolate; the daily recitation of the holy rosary, and an austere manner of life in
keeping with the Gospel, that shall be of to all a good example of the observance of the
law of God and the practice of the Christian virtues, especially that of purity.

We further promise You to be united with the Holy Father, with the hierarchy and with our
priests, in order thus to set up a barrier to the growing confrontation directed against the
Magisterium, that threatens the very foundation of the Church.

Under your protection, we want moreover to be apostles of this sorely needed unity of
prayer and love for the Pope, on whom we invoke your special protection.

And lastly, insofar as is possible, we promise to lead those souls with whom we come in
contact to a renewed devotion to you.

Mindful that atheism has cause shipwreck in the faith to a great number of the faithful,
that desecration has entered into the holy temple of God, and that evil and sin are
spreading more and more throughout the world, we make so bold as to lift our eyes
trustingly to you, O Mother of Jesus and our merciful and powerful Mother, and we
invoke you again today and await from you the salvation of all your children, O clement,
O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

PRAYER FOR
PRIESTS AND VOCATIONS

O, God, whose infinite Love and compassion gave

us Your only Son to reconcile us to Yourself through
His death, grant Your Holy priests the grace to
reconcile us to You through their lives. Accept these
humble gifts and bless the sacrifice of their lives so
that we may know Your Love through their Love.

Jesus, continue to call men to Yourself, that they

may serve You by serving others, help them to follow
Your example of perfect priest in their own priesthood.
Holy Spirit, grant zeal to those receiving Your call
to service, continue to bless those who answer Your
call, and protect and keep them under Your blanket of
Love and affection, until they behold Your Glorious
Face, O Lord.

All this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Amen

PRAYER TO DEFEAT
THE WORK OF SATAN

O Divine Eternal Father, in union with Your Divine

Son and Holy Spirit, and through the immaculate
Heart of Mary, I beg You to destroy the Power of
Your greatest enemy – the evil spirits.

Cast them into the deepest recesses of hell and

chain them there forever. Take possession of Your
Kingdom which You have created and which is
rightfully yours.

Heavenly Father, give us the reign of the Sacred

heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I desire to repeat this prayer out of pure love for

you with every beat of my heart and with every
breath I take. Amen.

PRAYER TO
ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in

the day of battle, be our safeguard against the
wickedness and snares of the devil. May God
rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do you, O Prince
of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into
hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl
through the world, seeking for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

PRAYER TO GUARDIAN ANGEL

Angel of God, My guardian dear

To whom His love commits me here
Ever this day be at my side
To light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen

GENERAL PETITIONS

I. I BELIEVE IN GOD
II. OUT FATHER 91)
III. HAIL MARY (3)
IV. GLORY BE
V. O MY JESUS

PETITION # 1. BLESS US WITH THE GRACE OF PRAYER. It is our dialogue and

communion with God. Teach us how to cultivate and experience the power of prayer in
ourselves. Give us the grace to pray in every opportunity we have and uplift every task
that we do as a prayer which we offer to Jesus. Let us remember what our Mother Mary
said, that God has chosen to use us in His great plan of salvation for all mankind,
particularly for the conversion of those who are not now in God’s grace.

A. JOYFUL AND LUMINOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 2. WE PRAY FOR PEACE AND UNITY. Let peace begin within us and
from us, so that we, in turn, may spread peace in the world to all mankind. Heal us of our
faults and weaknesses and let us realize that if we want to be cleansed and to be
healed, we must first have total forgiveness and love in our hearts. Let us not dwell on
things that are not of God, like anger, pride, envy, and selfishness, but instead, pour into
our hearts, through the Holy Spirit, the gifts of love, humility, patience, forgiveness and
understanding. It is only through dying to one’s self that one can truly have Peace.
Amen.

B. SORROWFUL AND GLORIOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 3. WE PRAY FOR THE CONVERSION OF SINNERS, THE

UNBELIEVERS, AND FOR ALL THE SPIRITUALLY POOR, SO THAT THEY WILL BE
FILLED WITH THE LOVE OF GOD. Let them turn against sin and against the enemy.
Give the grace of going back to Jesus by touching the hearts of sinners, and especially
the hearts of those who have left the Catholic Church to join other sects and beliefs. We
pray for the conversion of Atheists, the pagans, the Jews, and the Moslems. We invoke
the Holy Spirit to enlighten the minds of the heretics and schismatics, and to revive in the
hearts of lukewarm souls the fervor and love of God.

C. JOYFUL AND LUMINOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 4. WE PRAY FOR THE END OF ABORTION, EUTHANASIA AND DEATH

PENALTY. Dear God, let this horrible crime stop. Let all who contemplate an abortion
fully understand that the unborn child is a HUMAN BEING who has a SOUL, and killing
the unborn is a grievous, mortal offense against God, the Creator of Life. Let your grace
fall upon all people so that they will respect, defend and uphold the sanctity of life, not
only for the unborn, but also for the aged, the dying, the handicapped, and the unwanted
as well. Also, let the confused, who are on the verge of committing suicide very carefully
weigh in their minds God’s fifth commandment., “THOU SHALL NOT KILL,” and avoid
this serious sin against God.

D. SORROWFUL AND GLORIOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 5. WE PRAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN ANY FORM OF ADDICTION

THAT DISRUPTS FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS, those addicted in alcohol and drugs,
those addicted in the flesh, or addicted in any kind of vice. Touch them, O Mother Mary,
and free them from the snares of Satan which now envelop them. Bring them back.
Reunite and heal the families that have been broken and break instead these evil
influences that destroy families.

E. JOYFUL AND LUMINOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 6. WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO KNOW AND APPRECIATE THE

IMPORTANCE AND VALUE OF THE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS, and pray for
an increased frequency in the reception of the Sacraments of Penance and the Holy
Eucharist. May every prayer and spiritual work we do lead us to the Holy Mass, because
the Holy Mass is the highest form of prayer and the greatest offering for the reparation of
sins. Jesus is these, His undying love for mankind manifested as He relives His sacrifice
on Calvary to save us. May these sacraments renew us each day, and strengthen us
spiritually in our crusade to serve Jesus and Mother Mary, in spreading their message to
whomever we talk and sea.

F. SORROWFUL AND GLORIOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 7. WE PRAY FOR MORE VOCATIONS. Please put into the hearts of
young people the awareness of service to God through an increase in vocations. Let
parents encourage their children and give them an upbringing filled with an awareness of
the blessed state of priestly and religious life. Bless all seminarians now studying and
preparing themselves for the priesthood. Strengthen them and give them perseverance.
Guide and guard them for they belong to You, Lord Jesus.

G. JOYFUL AND LUMINOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 8. TEACH US THE DAILY READING OF THE HOLY BIBLE AND

SPIRITUAL BOOKS because God Himself talks to us when we read the scripture of His
Life, His teachings, and His Holy words in the Bible. May the Holy spirit enlighten our
minds and give us the grace to live the gospel, and to put into practice all we’ve read of
the words and ways of our Lord Jesus in our daily lives, in essence, “To imitate and Live
The Word”

H. SORROWFUL AND GLORIOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 9. WE PRAY FOR POPE FRANCIS 1 ST, THE VISIBLE REPRESENTATIVE

OF CHRIST IN THE CHURCH AND 266TH SUCCESSSOR OF PETER. Only in Peter
has Christ built his Church. So, with the faith of Peter in these times of greatest darkness
and apostasy, let us pray for support and protection of the Vicar of Christ, the Pope. May
Priests and Bishops remain loyal to the true faith through their obedience to the Pope;
preach loudly in word and example that Jesus himself has instructed Peter to be the
foundation of His church and the irreproachable presence of the Truth. May they remain
united with the Pope and help him carry his large Cross to Calvary.

I. JOYFUL AND LUMINOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 10. WE PRAY FOR THE INCREASE OF PRAYER GROUPS, SISAS AND
CENACLES. May we have the grace to live the messages of Our Mother Mary in our
hearts, that we may in turn work and inspire the formation of more prayer groups. Bless
and protect the prayer groups, sisas and cenacles from disunity and discord. Bestow
upon them your special graces – of love and unity. Amen.

J. SORROWFUL AND GLORIOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 11. WE PRAY FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF OUR OWN CROSS – AND
ABANDON OURSELVES COMPLETELY TO JESUS CHRIST AND HIS DIVINE WILL.
As He Himself said, “If you want to be WITH ME, pick up your cross and follow me, for
whoever picks up his cross and looks back, is not worthy to follow Me”. So, whatever
trials and sufferings we encounter, may we offer them to Jesus and not be afraid,
because He is with us, when we put our faith, trust, and confidence in Him.
K. JOYFUL AND LUMINOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 12. WE PRAY FOR OUR DELIVERANCE FROM THE ENEMY, THE
DEVIL. Mother Mary, please rescue us the moment Satan or any other evil spirit tries to
tempt us to fall into sin and deliver us from all distractions that pull us away from the path
that leads to You AND Jesus. Grant us the wisdom to discern, so that we will be able to
distinguish right from wrong and good from evil. You have obtained from your Divine Son
that all advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court
during their life and at the hour of death. So, in this great battle for souls, let us arm
ourselves with the power of the rosary and the Holy Eucharist, wear the miraculous
medal and the scapular with faith, to save us from the eternal fire of hell.

L. SORROWFUL AND GLORIOUS MYSTERIES

PETITION # 13. WE PRAY FOR FASTING NOT ONLY FROM FOOD, BUT ALSO
FROM WORDLY AND MATGERIAL THINGS, AND OFFER THEM TO YOU IN
SACRIFICE. Let us fasting from good and the materialism of this world be our offering
for the atonement of our sins and be our reparation for the sins of mankind. Make us
aware of our priorities in life, which are salvation of souls, and the detachment from the
materialism that this world falsely offers. All these hinder us from the love, knowledge,
and service of God.

And grace will lead me home.

We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.

All that I’ll ever have, I offer now to you
All that I dream, all that I pray
All that I’ll ever make, I give it to you today.

Knowing that I love and serve you is enough reward.
All that I dream, all that I pray
All that I’ll make, I give to you today.

No more by sin to grieve thee,
Or fly thy sweet control

O sacrament most holy,

All praise and all thanksgiving
Be every moment thine.
