Culture identifies us where we come from, where we grew up or in what environment we
developed, since it is a set of ways of thinking, feeling or acting, language and languages,
beliefs, etc. Therefore, Mexican traditions and customs are characteristic of that country,
which will reveal throughout the entry.

 These are the most important and most popular Traditions and
customs of Mexico :

1) Death day
One of the main Mexican customs. The festival is celebrated on the first and
second days of November, although it begins on the afternoon of October 31
when people go to the pantheon to clean and decorate the graves of deceased
children. The next day is the turn of the adults and that is when Mariachis are
usually seen. Depending on the region, the celebrations can vary, because for
example in Toluca every year there is a parade at that time, where famous figures
in Mexican culture can be seen, such as katrinas or chiefs big.

2) Virgin of Guadalupe Day


A celebration is held annually on December 12, which honors the most important
images of Mexican culture; became one of the traditions of Mexican Catholicism.

American countries.

5) Revolution Day
The Mexican Revolution that occurred on November 20, 1910 is celebrated every
year on the same day; It succeeded in radically changing the culture and politics
of the Mexican state, just as it brought down the regime of Porfirio Díaz, one of
the worst dictators in Mexican history. The celebration is held annually through a
military parade in Yucatán, involving members of various institutions; among the
participants it is possible to see firefighters, soldiers, athletes, etc. In addition,
visitors celebrating this day usually dress in a manner typical of attending a
parade, among which flags, oversized hats, and revolutionary clothing are
prominent.

6) Candlemas Day
Since Mexico is a state where most of the population is Catholic, it is common to
see various religious festivals in its customs and traditions. Candlemas Day is one
of them that is celebrated on February 2 and this festival originates from Spain,
specifically in Tenerife in the XNUMXth century.But apart from that, it also
includes other traditions that are celebrated in Mexico on different days of the
year. For example, on Christmas day, Niño Dios wears special clothes or on Three
Kings Day, tamales are offered to whoever manages to find a doll previously

7) Guelaguetza
This is an ethnic festival in Oaxaca, where several dancers from different regions of
the state wear typical clothes and perform dances to music made with wind
