● Certificate
● Acknowledgement
● Abstract
● Table of contents (Page wise Index)
2. The main body (pages 1, 2, 3…) be divided as follows:
A chapter may be divided into sections each of which has a section title (second-order heading). For
example, in Chapter 1, the sections will be numbered 1.1, 1.2, etc. preferably do not further
subdivide a section.

Suggested division of report in chapters-

⮚ Ch-1.Introduction (Approx. 4-8 pages)
The title of Chapter 1 shall be Introduction. It shall cover, justify, highlight the need, history/
evolution, problem posed, define the topic and explain the aim/objective and scope of the
work taken for project to be presented in the report.

⮚ Ch-2. Literature Review (Approx. 4-8 pages)

It evaluates the available literature in your given subject or chosen topic area. It documents
the state of the art with respect to the subject or topic you are writing about. It depicts the
current implementations that draws the attention and focus on the foreknowledge work that
would be conducted based on the ongoing work in the subject. It must be clear and simple to
understand.

⮚ Ch-3. Theory & Design(Related to Project, 30-40 pages)

Chapter 3 will consist of subsections, covering:
Problem definition: Problem statement, Block diagram, flow chart |DFD|E-R model etc.,
design (data tables), formula description, etc. (as applicable)
Design &Implementation: Circuit design, simulation, implementation and modeling, software
implementation, Pictures of assembled PCB & the project, code, Bill of Material with approx.
cost, Screenshots etc. (as applicable)
Testing and deployment: Input and output signals, Test point signals, statistical analysis and
calculations done, results gained, Test input data, Output obtained, Important changes shown
in software or databases\pictures etc.

Note: The appropriate information should be accompanied with pictorial representations, tabular
demonstrations, diagrams, flow charts, visible graphs, Images, any other representations and

the constraints of the project.

● Appendix (Limited upto 20 pages) (It is a separate section in report)

The appendix of a project report shall contain IC’s pin diagram/readymade cards like (GSM,
Arduino boards etc.)& brief specifications (1 page per IC/card),supplementary material
details that is not an essential part of the text itself but which may be helpful in providing a
more comprehensive understanding of the project, may include brief standard description of
equipment used, features of software tools\platforms used, assembly and pneumonic etc.

● References(1-2 page)
All the source of information used for project work like books, journals, and websites must
be listed in this section covering name of article/book, author, page no.& date/year of
