Authors’ Response Sheet

Manuscript No.: SETA-D-22-00368

Entitled " Robust Variable Step P&O algorithm based MPPT for PMSG wind generation
system using estimated wind speed compensation technique"

The authors are grateful to the anonymous respected Reviewers and esteemed Editor handling
the paper for sparing their valuable time and giving constructive comments and suggestions.
My thanks should be extended to (Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor). The revised
version has been subjected to a careful proofread by a senior researcher to improve the quality
of paper’s presentation. Below is a point-by-point response to the raised concerns. All
constructive suggestions have been incorporated and revised thoroughly and the changes made
in original manuscript in this revised copy (The revised text is written in Blue colored text for
the convenience of the esteemed reviewers). A number of minor alterations have been made to
correct grammatical mistakes and improve expression.

Editor and Reviewer comments:

1. The language and flow of the overall manuscript are recommended to be improved.
For example, in the abstract,
What is the MPPT and what’s the novelty of the MPPT in your study? Why is RVS-P&O
technique suggested or recommended?
“To well manage and extract the generated power efficiently, a development of strong
Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm is of valuable importance. That permits
addressing the issue of variable instantaneous wind speed (WS) conditions and step size
estimation (SSE) using the standard perturb and observe (P&O). Therefore, a newly
developed Robust Variable Step P&O (RVS-P&O) technique has been suggested.”
2. In addition to discussing each reference in the literature review, it is also recommended that
the author can identify and provide a couple of lead sentences for each review paragraph to
guide the audience. Research gaps need to be identified at the

Authors’ response to Editor-in-Chief and Reviewer:

My thanks should be extended to Prof. Dr. Ioannis A. Ieropoulos (Editor-in-Chief) for the kind
reconsideration. In order to improve the quality of this paper in terms of novelty and
contribution, the revised version was subjected to a thorough review by a senior researcher to
improve the quality of the paper. Explicit and detailed responses to the reviewers' comments
are listed below. All constructive comments and suggestions have been thoroughly considered
and the revised text is written in blue for the convenience of the esteemed reviewers.

We apologize for the English language errors (spelling and grammar mistakes) in the previous
version of the paper. We have carefully revised the manuscript to enhance the grammar and
readability, resulting in the correction of all spelling and grammatical errors. Regarding your
specific queries:

1. The abstract section has been modified in the revised manuscript to address your objective
recommendations. We have provided a clear explanation of what MPPT (Maximum Power
Point Tracking) is and highlighted the novelty of the MPPT in our study. Additionally, we have
included a rationale for why the RVS-P&O technique is suggested or recommended. These
clarifications can be found in the same section.

2. The introduction section has been revised in accordance with your objective
recommendations. We have incorporated a few introductory sentences for each paragraph of
the analysis to guide the audience and improve the flow of the paper. Furthermore, at the
conclusion of the introduction (literature review), we have identified gaps in the recent literature
pertaining to MPPT. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the previous
errors, and we appreciate your valuable feedback that has allowed us to improve the quality of
the manuscript.

Finally, many thanks for highlighting some inaccuracies we didn’t realize before submission.
We have tried our best to revise the manuscript as suggested by you, (Editor-in-Chief and
Associate Editor) and hopefully, the authors explained more clarifications of the research
work. Based upon above clarification, the authors are looking forward to your positive response.
