Our ResLife teams are based within each of our halls,


so you’ll find support and advice on your doorstep.
All of our University halls of residence have a Residents’
Association or Junior Common Room, supported centrally
by our Students’ Union.

Our halls are secure, self-contained communities. Some


have their own bars, common rooms and social activities.
Living in University accommodation is a great way to meet
new friends and can make budgeting easier: a room in a
fully catered hall cost around £165 per week in 2020/21.

scene, Manchester has something to inspire everyone.

Our football teams are world-famous, but you’ll also find


rugby, international cricket, the National Cycling Centre,
Manchester Aquatics Centre, indoor skiing and more.

Spend evenings by the city’s famous canals or enjoy


theatre and cinema at HOME. Catch up-and-coming
bands at YES and our Students’ Union’s Academy,
or see the stars at Manchester Arena and Parklife.
Browse historical collections at Manchester Museum,
or muse over contemporary art at the Whitworth.

The city and surrounding areas have hundreds of bars


and restaurants. For the widest choice head to iconic
food halls and markets such as Mackie Mayor and
Levenshulme Market.

Get creative in the Northern Quarter or explore the UK’s


second largest Chinatown. Take a bus to the vibrant
suburbs of Chorlton, Didsbury and Withington or go back
to nature at Platt Fields in Fallowfield or at Heaton Park.
