BREIF HISTORY OF SUFMPC

In 1990’s the SANGUIT UPLAND FARMER’S ASSOCIATION (SUFA ) was organized and started by purely farmers from
barangay Sanguit with 40 individuals under the supervision of NGO’S PRRM and (TFA) TRIBAL FILIPINO APOSTOLATE and
TRICORD-NGO. Because of the positive effects of the association’s activities in the community, the members and officers decided to
expand their membership to adjacent barangays particularly KINGBIKS area, DUPAX DEL SUR, NUEVA VIZCAYA, but because of
good efforts, and performance of the officers and staff and also the continues expansion of members the officers decided to register
as cooperative in order to widen more its program and services, with the help of the PROVINCIAL COOPERATIVE AFFAIRS
OFFICE (PCAO) and (CDA) COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
personnel, in the person of ARTHURO A. PALAFOX, the SANGUIT UPLAND FARMER’S CONSUMERS COOPERATIVE
acquired its legal personality on October 21, 2014 with Registration Number 9520-1020000000025193; CIN 2020142519;TIN No.
462-259-262-000, and later the officers proposed for amendments to the Articles of Cooperation and Bylaws of the Sanguit
Upland Farmers Multi-purpose
Cooperative adopted its Regular Annual General Assembly meeting held at the SUFCC main office Sanguit, Dupax del Sur,
Nueva Vizcaya on March 30,2016 were submitted to the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) for registration pursuant to
the provision
of Republic Act No. 9520, on March 14,2017 the request was granted
therefore from SUFCC to SUFMPC, with Amendment No. 9521-1020000000025193-1
