I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
1. Project Title : WATER TANK FOR BATANG MALINIS, WALANG DUNGIS
2. Project Type: : Direct Funding
3. Project Cost : 18,000.00
4. Timetable : S.Y 2019-2020
5. Project Component: The proposed project will include the following:
 procurement of 1 (48” x 94”) 2000L water tank

6. Project Location : Kalumpang Elementary School, under

the City Schools Division of Tayabas, province of Quezon.
Its complete address is Tayabas-Sariaya Road, Brgy.
Calumpang Tayabas City.

II. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION

1. Project Background

The main function of every school is to promote quality education to all its clientele. In
order cater all enrollees, one should have complete facilities in order to assure quality delivery
of instruction. Such basic facilities are classrooms, comfort rooms, laboratories, computer
rooms, and others.

Children will achieve more when both their health and learning needs are met. Ensuring
free access to water and promoting a regular water intake, availability of water for cleaning, for
handwashing and toothbrushing throughout the school day is a vital role for schools in
promoting health and providing a healthy learning environment.

The education sector in the Division of Tayabas has done a lot of strategies to promote
and improve the quality of basic education. The principle of School-Based Management is
adopted to enable and empower school to manage their own affairs. Also, it will inspire
teachers’ dedication and commitment towards helping the pupils for a higher level of
achievements.

However, failure to provide equipment to sustain water availabity will hamper the
effective delivery of basic education in our school in relation to Wellness and Health Program.
As of writing, the school have 2 hand washing facilities but has insufficient water supply for 738
pupils to use. With that, limited number of learners can be accommodated during the
handwashing and toothbrushing activity.
With this situation, Kalumpang Elementary School wish to seek financial assistance and
support to implement the proposed procurement of water tank.

2. Project Linkages

The said project is in conformity with the goal of Department of Education to promote
quality and equitable basic education. It also supports the achievements of the Millennium
Development Goal (MDG) for the provision of access to primary education.
The project is consistent with the national government’s development agenda, as
covered under the various programs and projects prioritized and implemented by the
Department of Education.

3. Sectoral Objectives
 To enhance quality and access to education;
 To promote Kalumpang Elementary School as a healthy school

4. Project Objectives

 To improve the quality of education in far barangays;

 To increase achievement level of the pupils and teachers

III. MECHANICS FOR PARTNERSHIP

The school will present partnership proposal to PTA Officers afterwards, PTA will
present the proposal to the target stakeholders. The target partners will be responsible for
funding and procurement of the said project. Once the project were completed it is the
school who will monitor the implementation and evaluate its impact.

IV. PROJECT FUNDING

V. PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

1. Workplan Schedule
The detailed schedule for the implementation of the project will be provided after the
commitments of funding support will be obtained. Generally, the workplan will cover the
following:
a. Finalization of Project Proposal with Detailed Cost Estimates
b. Review of proposal with funding agency
c. Approval of the project
d. Fund processing and release
e. Project implementation (procurement process)
f. Project turn-over
g. Project monitoring and evaluation
