Understanding Naive Bayes
Understanding Naive Bayes
Naive Bayes
Naive Bayes is a probabilistic classification
technique based on applying Bayes' theorem
with the "naive" assumption of independence
between every pair of features. Despite its
simplicity, Naive Bayes can be surprisingly
accurate and is particularly suitable for large
datasets.
The key strength of Naive Bayes is its simplicity, which not only makes it highly
interpretable but also fast for prediction.
However, the 'naive' assumption can be a limitation, especially if the features have
relationships between them.
