I am working as a Marketing Intern at Atos currently undergoing a project under the heads of
Digital Marketing

(8) WORK DESCRIPTION

April 3 – April 7, 2023 [Week 1]

Day 1: April 3, Monday

- I was assigned a project in which I had to analyse different competitors’ website and do
in-depth research on it.
- I was asked to prepare a SWOT analysis on their website
- I first commenced my work by doing a good study about Atos, its stakeholders, its
operations, activities, etc.
- After getting a clear idea about the company, I started to scroll through its website
- After getting a hang of the different elements that a website constitutes, its importance, its
usage, I went ahead and took a list of the competitors of Atos.
- I drew out a few parameters on the basis of which I will be assessing all the websites (as
shown in Fig 1)
- I also went online to learn about several components of a website like CTA buttons,
website forms, etc.
- At the end of day 1, I was clear as to what I had to start with on the next day.

Day 2: April 4, Tuesday

It was a holiday on account of Mahavir Jayanti

Day 3: April 5, Wednesday

- I had a meeting with the Head of Digital Services and the SEO Lead, the 2 people under
whose guidance I am carrying out this project.
- They briefed me about the entire project
- They gave me a few insights on how a website engages the stakeholders and taught me a
few jargons related to the same.
- They directed me a proper path as to how I should go about with the project.
- Later I started to analyse Wipro’s website who is one of the competitors of Atos.
- I jotted down a few points after going through their website, good and bad both (as
shown in Fig 2)
- I attempted at making a SWOT Analysis for Wipro’s website (as shown in Fig 3)

- I kept in mind all the feedback I received on the previous day and went ahead to
accomplish the next part of the project
- I jotted down points for IBM’s website as well (as shown in Fig 4)
- This time, along with jotting down the points I also took screenshots from the website in
order to justify my points (as shown in Fig 5)
- Later, I made a SWOT Analysis for this website as well (as shown in Fig 6)

Day 5: April 7, Friday

- On every Friday morning, I have a weekly update meeting with my organisation mentors.
- In the meeting they assessed my work, gave a few feedbacks and appreciated some of the
work
- After the meeting, I went ahead with analysing Accenture’s website
- Repeated the same steps of writing points (good & bad) about the website, attaching
screenshots for the same from the website and lastly doing the SWOT analyses of that
website
- This time I learnt a few new jargon and technical terms and tried to incorporate them in
my report
- I also went on Google to watch a few videos and read some blogs to get a better
understanding of how an ideal website should be.
- This is how I ended the week 1 of my Summer Internship’ 23.
(9) GENERAL OBSERAVATIONS/ LEARNINGS

- I observed that my company has recently launched a new website which is why the entire
marketing team had their schedules packed, thus I experienced that part of the corporate
where there is a lot of work load on everyone including the interns.
- I leant a lot of new words like CTA buttons- Call to Action buttons, website forms,
typography and many more.
- Now on whenever I open any website, I have a different outlook towards it. I look at it
from a marketing point of view now and observe all the feature carefully.
- Learnt how to behave, speak, work in a corporate as it is very formal and different from
what takes place in school or university.
- This one week was quite hectic but I could get through everyday with a sense of
satisfaction of learning something new every single day of the week.
