ideas and emotions a voice, attaches us towards the past, expresses the present, and
acknowledges the future
Art does not advise people about what to do, but it can relate you to your senses, body and
thinking. It has the effect of making the entire world understand. And this felt emotion may
influence thought, interaction, and perhaps even activity. This is were art can make a difference.
Some of us have been moved by an artistic work, whether it’s a song, a play, a poem, a novel, a
painting, or an observable experiment. We are moved when we are touched; we are transported
to a new place that is still deeply rooted in a physical experience, in our bodies. We become
aware of a feeling that may not be unfamiliar to us but that we have not previously actively
focused on. This transformative experience is what art is always looking for. A work of art can
make us more tolerant of difference and of one another. The encounter with art and with others
over art can help us identify with one another, expand our notions of we, and show us that
individual engagement in the world has actual consequences.

2. According to Plato, all artistic creation is a form of imitation: that which really exists (in the
“world of ideas”) is a type created by God; the concrete things man perceives in his existence
are shadowy representations of this ideal type. Art and (aesthetic) mythology, according to
Dewey, is an attempt to find light in a great darkness. Art appeals directly to sense and the
sensuous imagination, and many aesthetic and religious experiences occur as the result of
energy and material used to expand and intensify the experience of life. According to Oscar
Wilde, Art is about the unreal. If he did, he would cease to be an artist.” For Wilde, art is about
illusion and imagination. He believed that the artist’s ability to transcend reality and to create the
sublime is what makes him great. The proper aim of art Is to lie – or tell of beautiful, untrue
things. Elbert Hubbard define art by to begin with, art is something with such a broad meaning.
The peculiar thing about it is how it has no strict definition. This gives me all the freedom to talk
about what I believe is art.

For me the one definition which strike my heart is the definition of Elbert Hubbard because just
like him I believe that art can be all about what I believe art is and it has no limitations. All the
things that you believe is a form of art can be as long as art doesn’t give a strict definition that
would only limit your knowledge about it.

3. Line, Color, Value, Space, Texture, Forms are called elements of Visual Arts because they
are all used according to what the artists want to use them in their own perspective way.
Elements is the building blocks or simply what makes an art, without this art cannot be done.
Every time you create an artwork there are elements, or components, that your artworks consist
of. These are the fundamental components, or building blocks, of all artwork. These elements
should be present in any good work of art. This will give your artworks more depth, dimension,
texture, and interest, elevating them to a whole new level.
