DIAGNOSTICS

DIAMAND is Delphi’s exclusive wireless electronic diagnostic tool designed

specifically for the authorised diesel network. A programme of continuous
development ensures 100% coverage for vehicles equipped with a Delphi
Common Rail system, and all new Delphi OE applications are covered by
DIAMAND from the time of vehicle launch.

Delphi releases software annually to ensure our network is up to date and has
all capabilities required. However our focus is not just Delphi, as over 40% of
DIAMAND coverage is related to non-Delphi all-makes systems.

THE 2013 DIAMAND SOFTWARE DVD – Part number DDRX107H

The 2013 DIAMAND software DVD acts as an update DVD for current DIAMAND users and will also act as a
full installation DVD for new DIAMAND users.

Updates are continued to be made available through the license period. It is recommended to regularly check
for new updates using the "Tool Update" functionality and by choosing "Internet" as the update source.

DIAMAND software subscriptions are charged on an annual basis with the current subscription year expiring

on March 31 2013. All DIAMAND users should order their 2013 DVD now to ensure continued access and to
benefit from new application coverage and functionalities added throughout the last 12 months.

Please note: DIAMAND Software must be activated on-line in the usual way.

DIAMAND is mandatory equipment for Delphi’s Authorised Common Rail Repair Network. All repair
workshops are required to keep this equipment up to date and in a usable condition.

VIN and Chassis numbers
Diagnostics History – record of vehicles communicated with
Ability to save and view diagnostic sessions
Diagnostic report editor – NEW Feature for 2013 Software that allows the creation of a diagnostic
report from the saved diagnostic sessions – see detail at the end of this note.
Internet product activation and update functions
Multi-lingual interface: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese,
Korean, Polish, Russian and Czech.

2013 APPLICATION COVERAGE UPDATE

Lots of development with the DIAMAND software has happened over the last 12 months.

The 2013 DVD includes several new and updated ALL MAKES Common Rail applications, including
injector coding capability on a range of Bosch applications and Continental VW R4.
Numerous new and updated Delphi OE applications have been added for this year’s release, including
increased functionality related to CDPF (Catalyzed Diesel Particulate Filters) including PSA additive
functions.

The full list of vehicle applications covered with detail of functionality can be seen in marketing note DM1025,
new vehicle additions and updated models have been highlighted in this document.

A quick overview of additions since 2012 is highlighted below and only relevant to YDT450/460 DIAMAND
hardware.

The 2013 software update DVD will also contain an increased range of diagnostic manuals together with

** Please note that all new applications are exclusive to the YDT450 & YDT460 hardware platforms. YDT300
users must upgrade to the YDT460 to benefit from the full application coverage, access all functionality and be
able to benefit from future coverage and software updates. See detail in table below:

NEW SOFTWARE FUNCTIONALITY ADDED IN 2013
During vehicle diagnostics with DIAMAND, the technician has the ability to record various data (DTC, Dynamic
parameters, injector coding, MDP trims, and so forth). This can then be viewed using “Saved Sessions”
features. Until now, it has only been possible to view and print
these sessions individually.

With the 2013 update, this feature has been improved and it is
possible to collate “Saved Sessions” into a single report to print
or save to PDF. This is very useful for customer diagnostic
reports and for your own records.

SOFTWARE PRICING
DIAMAND software is sold on an annual subscription basis. Users receive a software update DVD at the
beginning of each twelve month period and then have access to the updates issued via the website for the
following twelve months.

The current software expires on March 31st 2013 - users who do not order the 2013
update DVD (DDRX107H) will lose access to all Delphi diagnostic information and
ability to communicate with vehicles, one month from this date.

Software is charged at full price for the first six months of the DIAMAND license year (April – September).
New users will be supported with software taken from October 2013 - December 2013 being charged at 50%
of the annual price and from January 2013 - March 2013 being charged at 25%.
