Exercise: Neurological Levels as a goal assessment tool.

One of the applications of the Neurological Levels model is as a goal assessment

tool. To use it for this purpose, first ask your client to name a goal, outcome or di-
rection that they have. Then, with this goal, outcome or direction in mind, ask the
client to reflect on the following questions. If you do not have a partner/client to
work with, at this stage, do the exercise on one of your own goals.

Environment
When you’re achieving this goal, what environments will be present?

When you are achieving your goal where are you and with whom?

When you are achieving your goal what do you see, hear, feel, taste touch and
smell?

Behaviours
When you are achieving your goal in these times and places what are you doing?
