Summary (Abstract)

The project is a cultural entertainment center for children from 4-15


years old. The project contains cultural, educational and recreational
activities. Its aim is to educate and educate children in an enjoyable
way that will endear them to education, develop their skills and
mental abilities, increase social interaction among them, and create a
suitable environment for children.

Providing a healthy and safe environment for today's children,


builders of tomorrow and hope for the future.

Aims:
1- Developing the various abilities and talents of the child.

2- Bringing children to a state of readiness for cooperation,


interaction and exchange of ideas.

3- Bringing the center to a degree that enables it to provide cultural,


social, educational, recreational and health services for children.

4- Promoting, developing and building a network of relationships


within the community.

5- Promoting and developing parental awareness of the issues and


topics of the center for the integration of the process.

6- Organizing various leadership programs for young men and


women.

7- Promoting and consolidating traditional concepts.

Entrance, Reception and Inquiries :
Entrance void:
It must be clear in a way that declares itself
directly to make it easy to find without

Furniture distribution:
Flooring: The devices can be assembled in a
distinctive way, groups in a traditional way,
or stacked in a linear manner.
Furniture: It is preferable to be covered
with carpeting to isolate noise and to clean it
easily.
Walls: They can be painted in light
comfortable colors that help focus on using
the computer.
Furniture dimensions:
The height of the chair is about 45 cm, which fits the computer table.
The table: its length is about 115 cm and its width is about 80 cm.
The total per capita share is approximately 3.5 square meters.

An open children's play area:

Hobby Classes :
Music Room : It is a classroom for children to
play, listen to, or learn music. It should be far
from any space that needs quiet. The area of the
branch is 60 square meters. The share of each
student is 2 square meters.
Art Room : It is a class for children to do
drawing and coloring activities.
Area: The area allocated for each child inside the
studio ranges from (4:5) square meters.
The shape of the space: the shape of the drawing room is mostly
rectangular or square, and the rectangle is the dominant room depth: 6:8 m
North orientation.
Hand craft Room : The shape of the space can be square, rectangular or
circular. The space is 120 square meters, given that the drawing and hand
craft class is included in one space. Each child’s share of the space is 2 square
meters.

Reading Room :
Observing good lighting and being directed to

sun ,The necessary space for each table is 2.5m
for seating on both sides and Provide enough
space to display books in an attractive way.
Librarian's office: It consists of a reception
counter whose height ranges from 55 to 75 cm.

Cafeteria :
Self-service restaurant where children choose various
dishes from an open display. It is preferable to direct
the dining hall towards an internal or external
landscape. The dining hall should be very close to the
kitchen, bathroom, and the basic tools for tables.

Open - air theatre:


It’s characterized by the openness of its stage to
the audience without any presence of walls or
barriers, one of the disadvantages of this type is
that the spectators sit facing each other.
Shape : A semicircular or fan-shaped design, focused on the stage, brings
viewers closer to the performer, enabling a viewing experience.
Consider using a 20-degree incline between rows of seats. Allowing a height
difference from one row to another.

Administration :
It consists of 4 rooms: (Office-Secretary's
room -Staff room-Doctor's room) with total
area 60 m2.
Office : Its area ranges from 10-20 square
meters. Well ventilated and light, and its
location is as close as possible to the main
entrance. It contains its own bathroom
containing a toilet and basin .The room's
furniture consists of (a desk - a cupboard
for storing papers of an appropriate size, the height of which does not exceed
130 cm).
Secretary Room :Its area ranges from 20-24 square meter. It is closely
related to the director's office. It is preferable to make a door to the director's
room from the secretarial room. The room's furniture consists of (a
desk, a seat, a few seats, waiting seats for visitors, a cupboard).
Doctor’s Room : It is necessary to have a medical room for emergency
cases, containing: first aid storage, a medical bed, and a doctor’s office.
Staff room: The width of the corridors between the offices is 1.90 m, the
office is 160 x 80 m, and the height is 78 cm.

Restroom for kids :


The minimum area of the toilet is not less than 1.20
square meters. It must be kept away from the
reading halls and stores, in order to avoid damage to
the contents as a result of moisture leakage. At the
same time, it is easy to access, and the toilets must be
separated from the employees. South orientation.
people with special needs :
The following must be taken into

and provide sufficient space for the rotation of
the wheelchair.

Restroom for employees :


It is not preferable to place the bathroom in the
direction of the prevailing winds, and the best location for it in relation to

and if necessary, a small skylight can be made for the bathroom, as it covers
the drain pipes and allows maintenance, and the width of the skylight must
not be less than 60 cm. (1 bathroom is allocated for every 6 people).

Results learned from studying

1) The site should be suitable for the nature
of the project.

appropriate activities for the entertainment
cultural center project.
3) Functional relationships should be well studied so that the design is
comfortable for users
4) Ensure that the site is coordinated in a way that indicates the function of
the project and that the architectural form of the building expresses the
function it performs.
5) Providing privacy for children's playgrounds.

Conclusion : providing a safe and peaceful place to make children more


comfortable and have more direct relationship to the nature and with the new
activities they are learning to make it more interesting and fun to learn.
