PART 1 – DUTIES AND APPOINTMENTS

1. Duty Roster (Regular Saturday Training). The following individuals/groups have been assigned duties. The tour
of duty for the Duty Cadet (AM) shall be from 08h00 hours to 1200 hours. The tour of duty for the Duty Cadet (PM) shall
be from 1200 hours to 1545 hours. Members are responsible for finding a suitable replacement if they are unable to serve
their tour of duty. The Duty Officer must be informed for any changes NLT 1 hour prior to the start of their scheduled tour
of duty.

3. 2023-2024 Training Calendar. A detailed training calendar for the year can be found on page 8.
4. Field Training Exercise 20-22 October 2023. Please see pages 5 - 7 for more information about this activity.
5. Silver Star Expedition. The Silver Star cadets will be participating in their expedition training on the weekend of
13-15 October 2023. Silver Star Cadets will be sent all the required information by email. Silver Star Cadets who are
unavailable to attend this training weekend will need to submit an Absence Report NLT 6 October 2023. This activity is
only run once a year for Silver Star Cadets and is a prerequisite for any cadets wishing to participate in future regional,
national or international expeditions, as well as the FOURAID Adventure Race and summer expedition courses. Cadets
not eligible to attend this training due to participation (medical) limitations will be notified by email.
6. Reminder on Reporting Absences. Cadets are responsible for notifying us that they will be absent for
mandatory training sessions if they know they will be unable to attend in advance. They should do this by submitting a
Cadet Absence Report before the start of the activity if they have a CADET365 account. For cadets without a
CADET365, they can still send an email informing us of their upcoming absence to 2806armee@cadets.gc.ca until such
time as they receive their CADET365 account.
7. Late Arrival Procedure. Cadets arriving between 0900 – 0915 hours will be stopped by the Duty Staff Cadet at
the drill hall entrance and will be marked late before allowing them to join their platoon. Cadets arriving after 0915 hours
are to report to the Orderly Room to sign-in. They will then be escorted to their star level group.
PART 3 – ADMINISTRATION
8. Cadet Corps Strength. The Cadet Corps’ strength effective 1 October 2023 was 7 Cadet Instructor Cadre
Officers, 1 Civilian Instructor and 75 cadets.

11. Initial Kit Issue, Exchange or Replacement of Clothing Items. Cadets requiring their initial issue of uniform, an
exchange of clothing items or need to replace lost items should submit a request to the Supply Officer using the Uniform
Clothing Request Form.

PART 5 – SUPPORT COMMITTEE AND ARMY CADET LEAGUE ANNOUNCEMENTS

12. Facebook Page. Parents can keep up to date with the news/activities of the Support Committee by following

13. Online Donations (New). We have partnered with the Royal Montreal Regiment Foundation to be able to accept
online donations to support our cadets and the cadet corps. Donations can be made in one-time payments, or in monthly
contributions through the following link: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/80423. Eligible donations will be issued a
tax-receipt. Funds raised are used to help cover costs not covered by the Department of National Defence ensuring that
our program remains financially accessible to all interested youth.

dressed appropriately or without the proper footgear for the
weather will be sent home. Sleeping bags will be
provided

5. Medical 5. Médical

Cadets are required to have their health card with them in
order to participate in the activity (this will be checked
before the cadets leave for the training site). Cadets should
also bring any prescription medications with them in the
original pill bottle. Cadets will be responsible for taking their
own medications during the weekend. Cadets with puffers
or Epi-Pens must have them on their person at all times
during the weekend.

pouvoir participer à l'activité (celle-ci sera vérifiée avant
que les cadets ne partent pour le site d'entraînement). Les
cadets doivent également apporter leurs médicaments sur
