Greater Brisbane is defined as the areas of- Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast, Shire of Noosa, Gold Coast, Logan, Ipswich, Redland, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and
Summerset. Please refer to the Direction for any further definitions.

People arriving from ACT or NSW
• Not permitted to enter SA.
Level 6 • SA Residents, NSW Cross Border Community Members or those relocating to SA can apply to SA Health for exemption
and must receive approval from SA Health before travel.
• COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13.
• Quarantine at a place determined by an authorised officer for 14 days.
Level 5
• Must wear a face mask (covering mouth and nose) at any time that they come into contact with the public for a period
of 14 days after their arrival in SA.
• COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13.
• Self-quarantine for 14 days.
Level 4
• Must wear a face mask (covering mouth and nose) at any time that they come into contact with the public for a period
of 14 days after their arrival in SA.
• Essential travellers from ACT or NSW have level 4 requirements. Please refer to the Essential traveller Table for more
Level 4 information.
People arriving from VIC
• Not permitted to enter SA.
Level 6 • SA Residents or those relocating to SA can apply to SA Health for exemption and must receive approval from SA Health
before travel.
• COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13.
• Quarantine at a place determined by an authorised officer for 14 days.
Level 5
• Must wear a face mask (covering mouth and nose) at any time that they come into contact with the public for a period
of 14 days after their arrival in SA.
• COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13.
• Self-quarantine for 14 days.
Level 4
• Must wear a face mask (covering mouth and nose) at any time that they come into contact with the public for
a period of 14 days after their arrival in SA.
People arriving from QLD
• COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13.
• Self-quarantine until negative test.
• No entry into high risk setting for 14 days after arrival, unless clause 9 applies.
Level 3
• No entry to COVID Management Plan events >1000.
NOTE: Commercial Transport and Freight Services must have COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13 unless they can produce
evidence of a COVID-19 test or a negative COVID-19 result within the previous 7 days.
• People who are arriving from any other area in Queensland (excluding Greater Brisbane) are not subject to any
No Level restrictions upon entering SA.
People arriving from NT
• COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13.
• Self-quarantine until negative test.
Level 3
• No entry into high risk setting for 14 days after arrival, unless clause 9 applies.
• No entry to COVID Management Plan events >1000.
• People who are arriving from Northern Territory (excluding local government area of Katherine) are not subject to any

No Level • People who are arriving from Tasmania, or Western Australia are not subject to any restrictions upon entering SA.

Transiting through another state to get to SA

A domestic traveller is permitted to transit through an airport provided;
Transiting through an Airport • The person has travelled via the most direct and practical route.
(excluding Sydney Airport)
No Level
• They wear a face mask for the entire time.
• They do not leave the airport before boarding their onward flight.

• COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13.

Transiting through NSW
(including Sydney Airport)
from an unrestricted location
• Self-quarantine for 14 days.
Level 4 • Must wear a face mask (covering mouth and nose) at any time that they come into contact with the public for
a period of 14 days after their arrival in SA.
NOTE: Travellers from VIC, NSW, and ACT are still subject to Level 6 requirements (unless an exemption has been
granted from an authorised officer).

Overseas Arrivals
• COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13.
Overseas Arrivals including New Zealand • Quarantine as directed by an Authorised Officer (Medi-Hotel).
