Rates Circular No. [4of 2019 SRA ACHR (GOVERNMENT OF INDIA) ‘a Aarera (MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS) tard aS (RAILWAY BOARD) No.TCR/1078/2018/17 New Delhi, dt. 14.06.2019 General Managers All Zonal Railways Sub: Clarification on levy of Terminal Charges Ref: Rates circular no, 24 of 2018 dt 27.12.2018 Railway Board, vide above reference, has levied Terminal Charge for traffic handled at Railway Goods sheds and Private Freight Terminals (PFTS). Following may be noted with respect to levy of terminal charge: 1. In case of traffic handled in Railway owned wagons, Terminal charge is to be levied on loading/unloading at Railway goods shed as well as at PETS. 2. In case of traffic handled in wagons owned by Private parties (i.e. non-Railway wagons including AFTOs, wagons under LWIS, GPWIS, SFTOs etc), Tetminal Access Charge is to be levied for loading/unloading at Railway Goods shed, while Terminal Charge is to be levied for loading/unloading at PFT. 3. Notwithstanding anything contained in 1 and 2 above, Automobile traffic is exempted from levy of Terminal Charge. This is to be reviewed one year from the date of issue of this circular. 4. Notwithstanding anything contained in 1 and 2 above, Container traffic shall remain exempt from levy of Terminal Charge; and shall continue to be levied with Terminal Access Charge for accessing Railway Goods Sheds/CRTs as per extant policy for same. 5.
