A: Leadership Assessment

While taking part in the anti-bullying club, I was observing the way it was operating and the

things the club's leader was doing with the students. The first thing that I observed was that the leader

made sure that the students all had to have assigned roles. The first thing they did after the elections

was the advisor alerted the group students that they had to learn Robert Rules to run a successful

meeting. The advisor took his time with the students seeing how some of this was new to them. When it

came to the participation of the advisor they were fully committed to the students and the club, they

made sure that the students knew the meeting schedule, Know the duties of their positions, and that

they are responsible for upholding the ideals of the club.

As it pertains to PESL standards 1 and 6, I plan to use the school's vision and mission statement to push

the school in the direction that will allow the school, staff, and students to grow, by being involved and

putting the students first. I will ensure that the staff that I hire will understand that the students we

serve come from all social classes and it is our job to connect with them the best way that we can.
