Meadowwood Tenant Union petition

After the events that took place on september 6th, we have come to the conclusion that our new
property manager is not a good fit for the position of our manager and needs to be terminated
immediately

1) Our manager had a tenant deliver eviction notices around the complex. She is utilizing
free labor off of a tenant and this is unacceptable and illegal. It is also unacceptable that
she would give these confidential documents to a tenant and someone who is not paid
or qualified to handle this private information. THis is a massive breach of our private
information. The documents were not sealed in an envelope and the boot licking tenant
who delivered the eviction notices was able to see the private financial information of
tenants. This action also nullifies the eviction notice According to RCW 59.12.040, the
landlord must attempt personal service of the eviction notice (give it to the tenant
personally) or the landlord may leave it with another person of suitable age and
discretion who resides there, or if no one of suitable age and discretion is there, post it
on the door, provided it is also sent in the mail.
2) When confronted with the behavior listed above she lied and denied it, even though
there were several witnesses to what she had just done. We demand the video footage
from the day of September 6th to be released for tenants to view under the freedom of
information act. Because this is a federal and state program we should have access to
this information
3) Our manager mocked tenants who were having their vehicles towed and was heard
telling another indigo employee “i'm going to laugh when all these people come out and
see their vehicles being towed” this is unacceptable behavior for a property manager
whose salary is being paid by our rent, and our tax dollars in the form of federal, state
and city grants.
4) Some of the vehicles towed were not given the full 24 hours that we are legally entitled
to and this is unjust.
5) Our property manager has openly treated members of our community as though she
regards them as beneath her, whether this is due to classism, or other forms of bigotry I
do not know, but this is unacceptable and is a clear violation of our rights through the fair
housing act
6) our property manager threatened to postpone the delivery of a new oven to a fellow
tenant after he voiced his disapproval to management’s mishandling of towing our cars.
This is a clear display of her nature to use retaliation towards tenants

We have other grievances, but this is the most urgent and we deserve an immediate response
Thank you
