When you are doing a listening task, you will normally hear all of the possible answers mentioned in some
way. Don’t choose the first thing that you hear, it probably isn’t the right answer!
1 Look at these three questions and the transcript for each one.
a. What is the correct answer? How do you know?
b. Exams like this use distractors to make you choose the wrong answer. Find the distractors
here.
2 Now try to do the next four questions without the script. Make notes about what you hear.
3. Now look at the transcript and check your answers Did you get distracted by the distractors?
