Abstract: In recent year, the environmental issues of emissions, increases in particular global
warming these are the limiting for the energy resources. So we need extensive research
technologies for generating electrical power. Thermoelectric power generators emerged as an
alternative green technology due to their good advantage. Thermoelectric power generation offer
the different application of the direct conversion of waste heat into electrical power. For this the
rotating part eliminates. Due to this emission practical eliminated. So we can say this green
technology. The application of this alternative green technology can also improve the Overall
efficiencies of energy conversion. In this abstract, present basic concepts of thermoelectric power
generation and recent search in thermoelectric power generation with their important and some
application to waste-heat energy are to make valuable. A thermoelectric power generator is a
device that provides direct energy conversion from heat into electrical energy based on seebeck
effect. When a temperature difference between the hot and cold junction of two dissimilar
materials (metals or semiconductors) a voltage is generated, i.e., seebeck voltage. This
phenomenon is applied to thermocouples that are extensively used for temperature
measurements. Thermoelectricity is considered as a key to overcome the energy crisis.
