Problem Set no. 1 Due date: Tuesday, Aug 11, 2023

Note: Please submit the solutions of at least any two of the problems on Friday, Aug 11,
2023, during the class. The solutions can be submitted in a group of maximum of four
students. Name and Roll no. of all the group members should be written clearly on the
top. If solutions are found to be reasonably correct then ten marks (Five marks each)
will be awarded and in case of non-submission/wrong solution zero marks.

2. Assume VBE = 0.7V, and =75 for Fig 2, work out thevenin equivalent for the base
circuit and find the operating points.

3. For the circuit of Fig 3, VBE is 0.5 V and VCE =VCC/2. Determine the Ic ,IB and  and
plot the load lines as well as the respective characteristics and mark the Q point, label
the plot properly.
