Section 2 – Declaration of Security

The “Declaration of Security” (DoS) is a formal agreement entered into by the ship and
the port facility (or another ship). The DoS specifies what security arrangements will
be put in place during the ship/port facility interface and which party will undertake
which measure. See ISPS A/5 and ISPS B/5 for the requirements and guidance on
DoSs.
