11 HUMSS Culminating Performance Task - General Mathematics
Goals: Your task is to inform the parents about the common development a 10-month-old to 50-month-old child will encounter in
terms of their linguistic development.
Role: You are developmental psychologist who are tasked to study and inform the parents about the development of a child in terms
of their vocabulary.
Audience: The target audience are the parents with a 10-month-old to 50-month-old child.
Situation: Language and communication skills are critical to a child’s development. Good communication makes them better able to engage
in socialization as well as learn from formal classroom instruction and the environment around them. It is part of the job of a
developmental psychologist to be an advocate of the children in terms of their development- in this case it is the linguistic side.
To do this, you will be creating an informercial video that will help the parents to be informed about the number of common
words that a child can say or use at their age. Below is a mathematical to be use as your basis to get the needed numbers.
Criteria Developing | 1-50% Functional | 51-80% Proficient | 81-94% Advanced | 95-100% Grade
Content . Gathered data and information should be presented clearly and came from a reliable resource.
Discussion must be comprehensive appropriate for the target audience.
Use of Mathematical Model Mathematical model must be used correctly. Accurate computations and graph should be included.
Presentation Presents the mathematical model and gathered data in an interesting sequence which the audience can
follow. Uses visual materials effectively while clearly presenting the information that needs to be
relied to the parents.
