INTRODUCTION

Time travel is a concept that has fascinated humans for centuries and has been the subject of
numerous works of fiction. It is a concept of fantasy rather than a reality. According to our
current understanding of physics, specifically Einstein's theory of relativity, time travel to the
past seems highly unlikely and poses several paradoxes. Theoretical frameworks, such as general
relativity and quantum mechanics, suggest that traveling back in time would lead to
inconsistencies and contradictions, such as the famous grandfather paradox (where a person
could go back in time and prevent their birth). There are various theories and hypotheses
proposed by physicists, such as wormholes, time dilation, and cosmic strings, that could
potentially allow for time travel, but they remain purely speculative. Scientists are still actively
researching and exploring the fundamental nature of time and its possibilities. It is important to
note that any claims or evidence of time travel currently fall in the realm of pseudoscience or
science fiction. Although time travel remains a captivating idea in popular culture and
storytelling, its feasibility is yet to be determined by scientific advancements. By the early to
mid-twentieth century, time travel stories evolved to take into account the features of an
Einsteinian universe: a four-dimensional spacetime continuum that curves and in which time has
the character of a spatial dimension (that is, there can be local variations or 'warps')
