UNIT 1: Healthy Food and the Body and Health Habits and Hygiene

I. Introduction

Nutrition is important for everyone. Healthy eating means eating a variety of foods that give you the
nutrients you need to maintain your health, feel good, and have energy. These nutrients include protein,
carbohydrates, fat, water, vitamins, and minerals.
You as a learner, need to eat healthy foods to make your body become stronger and protect you from
sickness. In this module, you are going to identify the GO, GROW, and GO foods and learn how to practice
good health habits at home. So, get ready for the new activities!
