Electromagnetic Rail Gun

A railgun is a linear motor device, which is usually used as weapon, that uses electromagnetic
force to launch high speed projectiles. The projectile normally does not contain explosives, instead it
uses its high-velocity launch to inflict damage. The railgun uses a pair of parallel conductors
(electromagnets), to accelerate the projectile.Mag
Maglev Train:

A Mag-lev train (short for Magnetic levitation), is a train that uses magnetic levitation to
reduce friction, in a train. This allows the train to travel much faster than conventional trains using
wheels and tracks. The front corners have electromagnets with north poles facing out, and the back
corners have electromagnets with south poles outward. Electrifying the propulsion loops generates
magnetic fields that both pull the train forward from the front and push it forward from behind. This
floating magnet design creates a smooth trip. There are only three countries in the world that
currently have Maglev Trains in use: China, Japan, and Korea. Maglev trains are much more efficient
than Conventional trains and hold the current world speed record for trains (603km/h). However,
they are quite expensive compared to traditional trains as the tracks require complex electromagnets
and metals.
