For The Goals of State
For The Goals of State
1. How does the current regime/administration realize or carry out each of your
chosen goals of the State?
Security:
1. Establish a National Security Strategy:
- Develop a comprehensive national security strategy that outlines the
country's security priorities, goals, and the threats it faces. This strategy should
take into account military, economic, political, social, and environmental
factors. Moreover, to effectively address national security challenges,
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has approved the adoption of the National
Security Policy (NSP) 2023-2028 that is consistent with his vision of a free,
united, secure, peaceful, resilient and prosperous Philippines.
Prosperity:
1. Natural Resource Management:
- Effective natural resource management is crucial for a country as it ensures
the sustainable use of its resources, minimizes environmental degradation, and
supports economic growth. By responsibly managing natural resources, a
nation can maintain ecological balance, preserve biodiversity, and secure long-
term access to vital resources for its population. Invest in renewable energy
and environmentally-friendly practices.
President Bongbong Marcos delivered a 10-point agenda for economic renewal and
long-term growth, restoring prosperity for all Filipinos. The following plan will
include immediate efforts to reopen the economy.
4. Fiscal Discipline - Improve efficiency and collection of taxes by the BIR and
BOC. Prioritize targeted spending to manage debt and narrow budget deficit.
10. Food for All - Increase productivity of agriculture and fisheries, and bring
down cost of food through cooperatives, modernization, and value chain
development.
3.Which among the goals should be given precedence by our government? Why?
With the country’s current situation, I believe that prosperity should take precedence
in the Philippines because it is the foundation for a better future. A prosperous nation
can allocate resources to uplift its citizens from poverty, provide quality education
and healthcare, and create job opportunities, leading to an improved standard of living
and reduced inequality. Prosperity not only enhances individual well-being but also
bolsters the country's resilience against economic shocks and enables investments in
critical infrastructure and social services. Moreover, a prosperous Philippines can be a
stronger global player, fostering international cooperation and partnerships for the
mutual benefit of its citizens and the global community. In other words, prosperity
should be given precedence by the government in the Philippines because it directly
impacts the well-being of its citizens.
