For the Goals of State

1. How does the current regime/administration realize or carry out each of your
chosen goals of the State?

 Security:
1. Establish a National Security Strategy:
- Develop a comprehensive national security strategy that outlines the
country's security priorities, goals, and the threats it faces. This strategy should
take into account military, economic, political, social, and environmental
factors. Moreover, to effectively address national security challenges,
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has approved the adoption of the National
Security Policy (NSP) 2023-2028 that is consistent with his vision of a free,
united, secure, peaceful, resilient and prosperous Philippines.

2. Diplomacy and Foreign Policy:

- Maintain strong diplomatic relations with other countries to promote
cooperation and address international security issues diplomatically.
Furthermore, Diplomacy and foreign policy are critical for a country's ability
to navigate the complex web of international relations, protect its national
interests, and pursue its objectives on the global stage. These tools enable a
nation to build alliances, resolve disputes peacefully, access foreign markets,
and address global challenges, ensuring its security, prosperity, and influence
in an increasingly interconnected world.

 Prosperity:
1. Natural Resource Management:
- Effective natural resource management is crucial for a country as it ensures
the sustainable use of its resources, minimizes environmental degradation, and
supports economic growth. By responsibly managing natural resources, a
nation can maintain ecological balance, preserve biodiversity, and secure long-
term access to vital resources for its population. Invest in renewable energy
and environmentally-friendly practices.

2. Trade and Commerce:

- Trade and commerce are vital for a country's prosperity as they facilitate
economic growth, job creation, and increased income. By engaging in
international trade and fostering commercial relationships, a country can
access new markets, attract investments, and leverage its comparative
advantages, ultimately leading to enhanced wealth and well-being for its
citizens.

3. Healthcare and Public Health:

- Ensure access to quality healthcare services for all citizens. Invest in public
health initiatives to prevent and control diseases. President Bongbong aims to
establish hospitals, research centers, and a National Center for Communicable
Disease Control and Prevention, focusing on improving healthcare, especially
for low-income Filipinos, with a strong emphasis on pandemic preparedness.
2. Which of the goals appear to be the priority of this current administration?

President Bongbong Marcos delivered a 10-point agenda for economic renewal and
long-term growth, restoring prosperity for all Filipinos. The following plan will
include immediate efforts to reopen the economy.

1. National Reopening - Resume face-to-face classes nationwide, and

accelerate reopening of travel and the economy to restore and create jobs (if
the pandemic shall re-emerge, be quick on vaccine procurement and roll-
out).

2. Public-Private Partnership - Encourage private sector engagement and

investment for the benefit of the public above all. Provide legal and
regulatory support to public-private partnerships.

3. Infrastructure Development - President Bongbong will launch a Build

Better More program to improve critical infrastructure in the Philippines and
advance digital connectivity across the country.

4. Fiscal Discipline - Improve efficiency and collection of taxes by the BIR and
BOC. Prioritize targeted spending to manage debt and narrow budget deficit.

5. Transparent & Efficient Governance - Establish efficient government

processes, such as mandatory online services, to promote transparency,
shorten turnaround time, and limit the opportunities for corruption.

6. Digital Philippines - Set up Broadband ng Masa for quick, reliable, and

affordable internet services, which will facilitate effective learning and
efficient delivery of public services.

7. Energy Security - Boost local power generation capacity by reducing

bureaucracy to attract energy investments and improve power delivery and
distribution with the objective of providing competitive energy prices.

8. Future-ready Filipinos (Education) - Provide quality education through

standardized learning materials and digital tools. Upskill the workforce to
improve employability and support priority industries

9. Affordable Healthcare - Lower cost of medicines by allowing easier

importation, and strengthening primary healthcare in underserved
communities. Build regional specialty hospitals.

10. Food for All - Increase productivity of agriculture and fisheries, and bring
down cost of food through cooperatives, modernization, and value chain
development.

3.Which among the goals should be given precedence by our government? Why?

With the country’s current situation, I believe that prosperity should take precedence
in the Philippines because it is the foundation for a better future. A prosperous nation
can allocate resources to uplift its citizens from poverty, provide quality education
and healthcare, and create job opportunities, leading to an improved standard of living
and reduced inequality. Prosperity not only enhances individual well-being but also
bolsters the country's resilience against economic shocks and enables investments in
critical infrastructure and social services. Moreover, a prosperous Philippines can be a
stronger global player, fostering international cooperation and partnerships for the
mutual benefit of its citizens and the global community. In other words, prosperity
should be given precedence by the government in the Philippines because it directly
impacts the well-being of its citizens.
