Preparation of Documentation
Welding Technique
Procedure
This Standard replaces and cancels its previous revision.
Recommended Practice: Prescription that can be used under the conditions set
out in this Standard, but which admits (and warns about) the possibility of an
alternative (not written in this Standard) more suitable for the specific application.
The adopted alternative must be approved and registered by the PETROBRAS Unit
using this Standard. It is characterized by non-imposing verbs. It is indicated by the
expression: [Recommended Practice].
Presentation
PETROBRAS Technical Standards are prepared by Working Groups - GT
(formed by specialist Technical Collaborators from the Company and its Subsidiaries), are commented
on by the Company's Units and its Subsidiaries, are approved by Author Subcommittees - SC (formed
by technicians from a same specialty, representing the Company's Units and Subsidiaries) and approved
by the Executive Nucleus (formed by representatives of the Company's Units and Subsidiaries). A
PETROBRAS Technical Standard is subject to review at any time by its Authoring Subcommittee and
must be re-analyzed every 5 years to be revalidated, revised or canceled. PETROBRAS Technical
Standards are prepared in accordance with PETROBRAS Technical Standard N-1. For complete
information on PETROBRAS Technical Standards, see PETROBRAS Technical Standards Catalog.
