CHARACTERS

DAVE MONTENEGRO - A 15 years old handsome and a genius high school student.

PEARL CRUZ - A 16 year old beautiful girl and a very lazy high school student

SETTING: Inside the classroom,where you can see a

chairs,blackboard,curtains,windows,cabinet and electric fan

SCENARIO: Dave Montenegro a grade 10 junior high school student who secretly
admired his childhood best friend Pearl Cruz. They are classmates since elementary
until now in high school. Pearl Cruz also likes her childhood best friend but she choose
to keep it to herself because she thinks that her best friend will keep a distance from
her if she will tell him what she truly feels but,she didn’t know that Dave has a
feelings for her too,it’s just that he does not have the courage to tell his true feelings
for his best friend.Not until Dave already have a courage to confess his feelings
towards his best friend Pearl. Unexpectedly Pearl confess her feelings too towards
him and then Dave ask Pearl a permission to let him court her.Later on, Pearl
answered him and agreed to be his girl friend.

[IN THE CLASSROOM,PEARL AND DAVE HAD SEPARATE SEATS. BUT PEARL WANTS
TO BE DAVE’S SEATMATE,SO SHE APPROACH DAVE]

PEARL:[SHOUT] Dave I want to be your seatmate.

DAVE:But it’s impossible for us to change seats.

PEARL:Maybe you just don’t want to be my seatmate.

DAVE:Ughhhh….there you are again.

PEARL:But I have no one to talk to.

DAVE:You can approach me when you want to talk.

PEARL:Promise?

DAVE:Yes promise,now go back to your seat.

[PEARL RETURNS TO HER SEAT AND PLAY GAMES IN HER PHONE.DAVE SEES HER
SO HE APPROACH HER]

DAVE:Pearl put your phone away because it’s not time for that yet.

PEARL:Uhhh! I’m bored.[ROLLED HER EYES]

DAVE:You should study to improve your grade

PEARL:More boring.

DAVE:Well it’s up to you.

[DAVE RETURNS TO HIS SEAT WHEN PEARL APPROACHES HIM]

DAVE: [SHOCKED] What are you doing here?

PEARL: It’s like you don’t want to talk to me.

DAVE:That’s not what I mean.So why are you here?

PEARL:Because I have no one else to talk to.

DAVE:And then? Are you going to trouble me again?

PEARL:I just want to talk to you and besides you told me that I can come to you
when I want to talk.

DAVE:Okay,later because I have some things to do.

[PEARL RETURNED TO HER SEAT AND DAVE IMMEDIATELY WENT TO HER BECAUSE
HE NOTICE SHE WAS QUIET]

DAVE: Hey! What are you thinking?Do you have a problem?

PEARL:Nothing I just want to ask you something.

DAVE:Tell me what is it?

PEARL:Nevermind.

DAVE:Okay,it’s up to you.

[DAVE IS ABOUT TO LEAVE WHEN PEARL CALLS HIM]

PEARL:Dave wait a moment.

DAVE:Have you change your mind?What is it that you want to ask me and it seems
serious?

[DAVE SITS NEXT TO PEARL FIRST]

DAVE: Okay,now what do you want to ask?

PEARL:Hmmm… What do you like in a girl?

DAVE:Hmmm…. the girl who is not like you.[LAUGH]

PEARL:[DISGUSTED]Am I that ugly?

DAVE:I’m just kidding okay? And besides you are so beautiful.

PEARL:[THRILLED] Really?

DAVE:Kidding[LAUGH]

PEARL:[ANGRY] I hate you.[SLAPPED DAVE’S ARM]

DAVE: Sorry okay?Just kidding but what I said is true that you are beautiful

PEARL:[THRILLED] I always knew I was beautiful.[FLIPS HER HAIR]

[THEY WERE SILENT FOR A WHILE AND PEARL ASKED HIM AGAIN]

PEARL:Do you like someone?[STARE AT HIM]

DAVE: How about you? Do you like someone else?

PEARL:Why did you return the question to me?

DAVE:Hmmm.…Yes I have a girl that I like for a long time but I can’t admit it to her.

PEARL:[SAD] That girl is very lucky.Why didn’t you admit it to her that you like her?

DAVE:I’m afraid that she might avoid me and that she might not like me either.
[STARING AT PEARL]

PEARL:I’m sure that she like you too. Who wouldn’t like you,you're smart,kind and
handsome.
DAVE:[THRILLED] Don’t make fun of me okay?[SMILE]

PEARL:It’s true I meant it.

DAVE:How about you? Do you like someone?[STARES AT PEARL]

PEARL:Well that’s a secret.[LAUGHS]

DAVE:You’re so unfair.

PEARL:[LAUGHS] Okay seriously hmm…I like someone too

DAVE:[SAD] Re-really? Do I know him?

PEARL:Yes you know him well.

DAVE:What is his name?[ EYEBROW RAISED]

PEARL:I won’t tell you[ROLLED HER EYES]

DAVE:Ahm…I’m going back to my seat.

PEARL:Okay bye.

SHE APPROACH HIM AND TEASE HIM]

PEARL: Dave I have a question. [SHE HIT HIM ON THE SHOULDER]

DAVE:[SHOCKED] What is it again?

PEARL:Hmmm…I want to know…. who is the girl that you like?

DAVE:[IRRITATED] Pearl please don’t disturb me right now.[WRITING IN A
NOTEBOOK]

PEARL:[SAD] Are you mad at me?

DAVE:No I’m not mad at you.Just leave me alone okay?

PEARL:Did I do something wrong?

DAVE:No,you did nothing wrong.[CALM]

PEARL:Then why are you like that?

DAVE:I just…..I just need some space okay?And can’t you see I’m busy?

PEARL:[SAD]Alright, I won’t bother you anymore.

[PEARL SADLY RETURNED TO HER SEAT AND AFTER WHAT HAPPENED SHE DIDN’T
TALK TO DAVE .ON THE OTHER HAND DAVE FELT GUILTY ON WHAT HE DID TO
PEARL SO HE APPROACH HER AND APOLOGIZE]

PEARL:Why are you here? I thought you didn’t want to talk to me.

DAVE:I’m sorry about earlier.I know that I’m wrong,please forgive me it will never
happen again promise.

[PEARL COULDN'T STAND DAVE SO SHE FORGAVE HIM]

PEARL:Okay,I will forgive you.[SMILE]

DAVE:[HAPPY] Really?
[DAVE RETURNED TO HIS SEAT AND TOOK SOMETHING FROM HIS BAG AND WENT
TO PEARL AND HE GAVE THE NECKLACE TO HER]

PEARL:[SHOCKED]What is this Dave?

DAVE:This is my sorry gift to you.[PUT THE NECKLACE AROUND PEARL’S NECK]

PEARL: Thank you.[SMILE]

DAVE:You’re welcome.Actually I’ve been wanting to give you this for a long time but
I didn’t have the courage .[HUGS PEARL TIGHTLY]

PEARL:[NERVOUS] Well….. Dave I have something to tell you.

DAVE:[NERVOUS] Me too.Okay let's say together what we want to say to each

other.

PEARL:Okay[HOLD EACH OTHER’S HAND]

DAVE AND PEARL:I like you.[SHOCKED]

PEARL:Wait, this isn’t real…….are you sure? You are not kidding me?[CRY]

DAVE:Yes,since we’re in elementary.Why are you crying?

PEARL:I just couldn’t believe that you like me too.[CRY]

DAVE:So will you be my girlfriend Pearl Cruz?
